How Daily Workout is Helping Me Keep me Fit and Healthy? - Raheem Dad

Research shows that exercise is the best tonic for your mind and body.

When it comes to living a healthy and happy life, who can deny the significance of regular workout? I think none! Simply saying, you just cannot defy the benefits and importance of exercise regardless of age, gender and physical size.

Talking about myself, it makes me feel good, keeps me motivated, healthy, strong and satisfied.

A few months back…

However, this hasn’t always been the case with me – as like many people in the current times – I was always stuck in my work, working out ways on how to thrive my business, living a fast and hectic life and had a sedentary routine, where I was left with no time for exercise.

Luckily a close friend of mine forced me to take some time of my busy routine and do regular workout, even if it was little.

How my life changed?

Tell you what, since I started a regular workout, my life turned upside down. When I wasn’t doing exercise, I was always under stress, didn’t feel happy, felt fatigued, and life became boring as it was all work and no recreation or “me time”.

Now, I’m enjoying a lot of health benefits of exercise as it not only makes me physically fit, but it also has a number of mental benefits associated with it. You can also cherish a beautiful life, whatever walk of life you belong to, by making exercise a regular part of your life.

How I benefited from exercise and you can too

Want to go through the compelling benefits of exercise and plan to incorporate it in your daily routine? Well, if you do so, I will be more than happy.

So here we go!

Exercise kept my weight in control

I used to spend 14-16 hours in my office, owning the businesses that I started. I gained a lot of weight because I was eating whenever I felt hungry, and it wasn’t always healthy. I felt heavier all over, and my thighs, hips and belly were the main affectees.

Few days after I joined a nearby gym. I experienced a lighter body. I started burning thousands of unwanted calories that my body didn’t need for healthy functioning. After a couple of months, when my workout got intense, especially running on the treadmill, I felt that I was fitter and could recall my youth.

There were a lot of days when I couldn’t visit the gym. But I sorted this problem out and started strolling downstairs and upstairs. I advise you to use stairs instead of lifts and no matter how busy you are, make sure you walk a couple of kilometres every day. And for ideal results, be consistent in your workout.

Being consistent lowers the risks of certain diseases and health conditions

Now, whether you are a cardiac patient or not, having blood pressure issues or not, affected by cholesterol or not, you must be regular in your approach. All these health conditions can be kept at bay because maintaining a healthy lifestyle is known to increase HDL or high-density lipoprotein, also known as good cholesterol. Not only this, but it also lowers the levels of unhealthy triglycerides.

This combination of boosting the advantageous cholesterol and keeping in check the anti-health elements results in normalizing your blood flow, get you free from cardiac diseases, diabetes, BP and ailments started by bad cholesterol and many more. You are also doing a great favour to your cognitive functioning a world of good if you are consistent at it.

You can also do your research on what conditions can be abnegated by making exercise a daily part of your life. Some of these concerns that can be avoided are:

  • Sudden Stroke
  • Metabolic syndrome
  • High BP
  • Diabetes
  • Depression and Anxiety
  • Cancer
  • Arthritis

Thankfully, I am not affected by any of these problems mentioned above, and it feels good to know that all these problems won’t affect me if I take some time out from my work every day.
