How to Cultivate Your Unique Voice

The world is full of talented people! Identifying who you are amid that crowd is a key part of creating your own success.?

So, who are you? Why should an audience listen to you? How do you find your unique voice so people listen to what you’ve got to say?

Pursue Authenticity?

In order to influence others, you have to believe in yourself and your message. No one will follow you if you aren’t convinced that you’re heading in the right direction! If you want to be a leader, you have to act - and speak - like one!

Most people can be convinced of the basics they already know, such as spending time with family and friends, or the importance of a good night’s sleep.

But it’s much harder to influence people in a way that motivates them to their core. It creates an emotional, personal connection that can’t be faked. How can you share your authenticity in a way that develops this deep impact on your audience’s lives?

This level of persuasion only happens when you fully understand who you are and what you want. You can’t expect your audience to move past the head knowledge and into the heart knowledge if you aren’t showing up on your own heart-led journey already!?

When people see your authenticity in action, they will be more than ready to join you!

Practice

You know the old saying, “Practice makes perfect”? Well, it’s true! When you put in the time and effort to practice your authentic voice, you will get better and better about sharing your message like a leader.

What do I mean when I say “your authentic voice”? I don’t just mean your actual tone of voice - although that’s important too! What I’m talking about is how your audience perceives your message and the content you share while you’re speaking.

Are you passionate or technical? Exploratory or traditional? Are you sassy? Or are you straight up and no-nonsense?

It doesn’t matter what topic you talk about when you speak. If your voice doesn’t match your message, if your audience isn’t emotionally fulfilled - brain power ramped up 100% and hearts on fire - your message will fall flat. Don’t underestimate the importance of practicing your voice!

So, believe in who you are and your message will shine through! Practice the most effective ways of communicating your authenticity with your audience. Then you are well on your way to becoming a pitch master! Right!!!!
