It transforms how you get ready each morning.?Creating Your Signature Look is a process of transformation.?Building it takes time, dedication and expertise, and requires you to form new habits.

Makeup artist Natalie Setareh and I believe in:

Generic vs. Custom

There's no shortage of YouTube videos; blogs, vlogs and articles; quizzes and e-guides promising to solve your style and makeup challenges in three minutes or less. There's also no shortage of brands, celebrities and other influencers pushing you to buy more of the $2 trillion (fashion + beauty globally in 2020, not a typo!) in products and services they are selling.

Mass consumption is encouraged at all levels — you've been conditioned to believe that the more you buy, the happier you'll be. Building the House

Maybe you've had a few makeup lessons or hired someone to buy clothes for you in the past. But in the end they were temporary fixes, because they didn't start at the foundation.

You can hire an interior decorator to design the home of your dreams, but if the foundation was poured on quicksand, you'll find yourself starting over again and again.

When Natalie Setareh and I?Create Your Signature Look?we start at the foundation — your values.?Our extensive intake process involves deep reflection about who you are and what you stand for. We talk about your goals and your dreams, as well as your personality and the traits you may be less proud of. In sharing this deeply personal information, we are building trust and getting to know you at your core.

Analyzing the Data

On top of the foundation is the frame. We also collect the facts about the shape and proportion of your facial features and body parts. With this knowledge, we use our years of experience to produce?your Style Guide and Makeup Guide?— two reference documents full of illustrated, technical instructions showing you how to optimize your assets with your makeup and style to have maximum impact.

Making Sustainable Choices

Having analyzed where you're at and where you're headed,?we curate a capsule wardrobe and capsule makeup bag?containing only the items you need. We shop the best resources for your needs, based on your budget and location. Our selection is delivered to?your virtual closet?so you can simply 'click and buy'. The goal is to?buy as few items as possible and get maximum use out of them.?We show you how to do this in your?private lessons, and in your virtual closet you'll find different outfits I've created for your different needs.

Practice & Feedback

Many online courses and lessons are "buy and forget". Knowledge is transferred, then it's up to you to practice.?Create Your Signature Look?is different. We spread the course out over three months to give you?the time needed to form new habits. You plan in your live, private online lessons throughout the program. This gives you time to practice your new skills, ask questions, make mistakes, and learn how to keep improving. Between the private lessons we offer weekly office hours — short,?private, live sessions?to answer any questions that come up.

What is the time commitment?

The full program is spread out over 12 weeks so that you implement what you learn and get our feedback on the process. Implement, get feedback, adjust, repeat.

When does it start?

The spring program starts April 10, 2022 (doors close on the 3rd). The fall program starts September 25, 2022 (doors close n the 18th).

Will you run it again?

CYSL happens twice a year — once in the spring, and once in the fall. We limit the group to just eight participants each time, so we can give each one our full attention.
