Work-life balance can be a real problem in the corporate space and finding a solution that works for you without sacrificing your career or looking incompetent can be tough.

But it's your time now. Enough is enough.

You’ve been steering the ship for your team for the last 2 years and beyond. You have risen to the challenge and, there were a lot of challenges.?

?You have supported the business and your team and you gave it all you had for 2 years. You’ve put everyone else first.

It's time to prioritize yourself.

How can you achieve a better work-life balance?

The term work-life balance is an elusive concept. What balance means to you today may be different from tomorrow.

?As you evolve and change in your career and get older, what you want changes.

I work with a lot of women in their 40’s and 50’s. It’s usually when you hit 40, you start reassessing your life. You start looking at what is most important to you.

When you are in your 20’s and 30’s, it’s all career and promotion and getting to that next level.

But in my experience, when you hit 40's and 50's, you start questioning your life.


You know you have more years behind you than you have in front of you and you want to make this next half of your life, your best.


If you are feeling like this, that is completely normal.

It's exciting!


It's the universe telling you to pay attention to what the next chapter of your life is supposed to be!?

As women, we are constantly chasing the next best thing and looking to something in the future.

Everyone sees the world through their own values and beliefs, and understanding what is important to you will help you understand how you can begin to regain a better work-life balance.?

This is one of the first exercises I do with clients who come to me and want to figure out what they should do next. We deep dive into their core values and what their life purpose is. I help to gain clarity on what is most important to them so they can make decisions that feel good for them and their loved ones.?

Understanding yourself is so critical if you want to develop and grow and live your happiest most successful life.?

How do you know when you are out of balance??

You will start to feel physical sensations in your body.

Your body will tell you way before your mind figures out what is going on. If you have chest pains, lack of sleep, feeling sick or on edge,? you need to take a step back and ask yourself;


"What is going on?"


What is missing from my life right now that will help me feel more aligned and balanced?


If you are focusing too much on your career, it is likely manifesting in your home life. Are you snapping at your kids? Are you wishing they would just go to bed so you have time to think straight? Are you present with your husband or partner?

If you are out of balance, you’ll know as you won’t feel good. You won’t feel like you’re in alignment with your true self.

You are not in your “flow” or, as I like to say, in your superpowers.?

Being out of alignment relates to the flow of energy in your body.?

When you are not in alignment with who you truly are and what you are here on this earth to do, you won’t feel balanced.

You won’t feel like you are in your flow.?


The 8 key areas you must consider to feel balanced and happy

When it comes to work-life balance, there’s a life coaching tool I use with some of my VIP clients called the Wheel of Life.

There are 8 key areas in this tool that help you to visually see where you are out of balance and where you need to focus your attention to feel good about yourself.??

After you download the tool, you will see there are 8 main areas:

  1. Family:?
  2. Friends:
  3. Love
  4. Fun
  5. Personal development and growth
  6. Career
  7. Health?
  8. Finances


Rate all these areas on a scale of 1- 10. 10 being it’s as good as it could possibly be right now, 1 being it needs attention.

Then answer the reflective questions I share in the tool.

Finally, write down your action plan.


Where you are today, is a direct result of the actions you did or didn't take.


So go take that action, my friend! Remember: Success, balance, and happiness are possible.
