How to create templates

Our Templates function as blueprints for existing Jira Issues or SIT Hierarchies, providing a formal framework for your projects. You can create templates from the Manage Templates page or the Jira issue View page.

Create a Template from a ‘Manage Templates’ page

1. Click the “Apps” dropdown and then the “Manage Templates” option.

2. You will be redirected to the Manage Templates page, where you can find a “Create Template” button.

3. When you click the “Create Template” button a dialog appears, where you have to enter the necessary data.

New Scope button allows you to create a new Scope for a Template, and apply it to the current Template.

Create a Template from a ‘Issue View’ page

1. Open the Jira issue you want to save as a Template
2. Click the More Menu button on the Jira Issue View screen
3. Select the Create Template item in the dropdown list

4. Fill out all the fields as in the same dialog from the ‘Manage Templates’ page

5. Click the ‘Create’ button to finish Template creation

Create the Template from the Hierarchy Node

Create the Template from the existing Hierarchy Node.

1. Click the ‘Create Template’ button on the ‘Manage Templates’ page
2. Click the ‘More’ menu

3. Enable the ‘Create template from Hierarchy Node’ checkbox

4. After that, the ‘Jira Issue’ selector will be replaced with the ‘Hierarchy’ selector

5. nter the part of the Hierarchy name in the Search field and select Hierarchy

6. Select one of the Hierarchy Nodes

7. Click the ‘Create’ button

After the Template from Node is created you can check the content in the ‘Edit Template’ dialog
