If we were lazy, we’d tell you that the surest path to victory with email marketing is to set your expectations absurdly low. Call it a win if you manage to send one email, filled with cat pictures, to your aging grandmother in Boca. You simply can’t fail if you set your victory conditions low enough.

But of course, that’s not what you’re looking for. And there’s no reason to shoot that low. Email marketing is still one of the most effective methods for reaching your audience, with a return on investment that’s hard to beat.

But it’s not enough to simply send emails to your list occasionally. You need a plan. And you need to automate that plan because it’s virtually impossible to manually keep up with every email that a successful campaign requires.
