This article is what we call "evergreen". It's a central location where you are provided access to all the videos/content from the original video posts sent. In this series, "Need a LinkedIn Profile Makeover", we have 7 videos. For the most part, we take a top-down approach. So if you are using LinkedIn for anything, having a solid profile is key for that first impression and a deeper dive (for vetting purposes).
Think about it. If they connect with you can largely depend on your profile. If they want to do business with you - prospects tend to review your profile first. If you are trying to get a job - Again your LinkedIn profile is typically a primary source they review.
So look good, sound good, be clear, be human, and tell great stories.

These videos are by no means a complete guide but there is a lot of good stuff here. I was actually in the middle of updating my profile and I thought let me get another pair of eyes on this before I give it go. So I have to give credit to my friend Jean-Michel. So we did an interview style between @jean-Michel and @Troy Hipolito to break down some major points.
Also know more detailed content will be part of the large "The LinkedIn Red Book". We tend to build out a chapter once a month and may do a presale when appropriate.

#1. Introduction and highlights to the "So you want to get a LinkedIn Profile Makeover?" Series.
The post goes through the main sections of the upcoming videos. And talks about using my profile to update. 90% of what was mentioning and a few other things were already planned, but Jean-Michael had some very interesting insight for SEO optimization.
This is a step-by-step process that will increase your views from 3X to 9X.
?? A step-by-step process that will increase your views from 3X to 9X. ??
So thanks it was great to have you fill in the gaps to get a stellar review.
This content will also serve as the basis for one of the chapters "The LinkedIn Red Book" and for one of our LinkedIn Events, we are having monthly.

#2. Your Banner, Headshot, and Headline (+ voice icon).
????. Banner. Make it visual and pleasing. Add your thought message/a version of your tagline on the right side so it can be clearly read on Mobile.
???. Have a great picture. Smile have it zoomed in enough where you can be seen clearly.
????. You have 220 characters for the headline. You should use that space for your keywords/what people are using to search for you. So it can be SEO optimized.
Also, don't forget about your "voice" icon to add 8 seconds.
Also, also - have a little fun with it. I put "The Not So Boring LinkedIn Guy" I also have a few emojis too. ??

#3. All about your Feature and Experience sections.
????. The Feature section - is a fairly new option for LinkedIn and it allows you to showcase content that matters to you. Use this visual opportunity to expand your content and draw people near you to network and convert.
???. The Experience section - Make sure you have Icons for the company (must have a company page). Tell your story of success. And use the media option to add content so it can be more interactive.

#4. Make your profile SEO-friendly and creating some color.
????. Featured Section: Be visual, use LinkedIn posts, LinkedIn Articles, Videos, PDFs, and webpages.
???. Experience Section:
- SEO the titles to add multiple specialties/key offers
- Make it more colorful and you can load media. Can be a PowerPoint presentation, PDF, LinkedIn Event, etc... Keep it to 2 pieces of media.

#5. Visuals and your Stories, especially for the About and Experience sections.
???? Overall your visuals ?? and stories are what are going to make a big difference.
???? Especially in your sections that have content such as your "About" and "Experience".
?? Think about "The American dream"????.
???? "Started from nothing and now you have become successful".????A journey of how you helped your clients and or your team. Solutions and positive vibes to move them in the direction where they want to know that person.
???? How did you make a difference in an organization, someone's life, or even your own life?

#6. Education and Endorsements.
????. Education: Fill it out for colleges and certifications
???. Endorsement: Max of 50 and the more people endorse you the higher you show on the searches. Review and refresh to what are your superpowers now.
And endorse your network and your prospects. It helps them as it ranks them higher on the searches/SEO and it also notifies them. So they see you are helping them.
????. When trying to engage with others - figure out what is in it for them. Them specifically...

#7. Recommendations you lead with and how to increase visibility with them.
????. Recommendations Section: People only care about how you fix the problem. So lead with your testimonials.
???. When clients and partners are giving recommendations, have "them" do it. Don't write it for them as it does not feel authentic.
????. When getting recommendations also do a video interview at the same time to hit 2 birds with 1 stone.
Come from a place of being a real person. Brand your authentic self and the right people will come to you.
