How to create a new workspace in D365FO from frontend and apply filters for end users?

This week I have received request to create a new workspace for my customized module. In this blog I will take example for Vendors list and add 3 options given on front end. Going further technical team will be able to add tiles in this blog based on querries.

So lets create a standard Workspace for our customer.

Step 1. Open Dashboard form in D365FO. Right click on the blank side and select Personalise Workspace.

Step 2. Select Add a Workspace. This will add a new workspace for us.

Step 4. Check the new Workspace created for you. In my case it is My workspace 2.

Change its name by right click on it, rename the workspace and then click on Personalise this page. I have renamed to My Vendor Management.

Click on the workspace and a blank form will be created for us.

Step 5. Add 3 options to this workspace. Go to list form in D365FO and on Options menu , we have Add to workspace option.

In Workspace add all options 1 by one as shown in screenshot below

If we select 1st Option it will show the tiles options with a Count slider option as well to show count.

Click Ok and see the result.

If we select list , it will show the list form in workspace with 8 column fields.

If we select Link, it will create a link to orignal form.

We can also use filters and show only those in tiles of workspace. For this , we need to filter the records in list form.

Hi Divey Anand, Any Idea if we need to publish or make this Workspace available to Vedor Portal, how can we do that?
