How to create new content in two easy ways

How to create new content in two easy ways

“ Debora, how do you come up with so many ideas for your content?”

I get asked this question all the time.

Until not long ago I never thought that people could actually struggle with content creation for their marketing.

I was aware that many people hire content creation guru or coaches, but I thought the main reason for this was lack of time and not lack of ideas.

I personally have the opposite problem. Often I have too many content ideas.

I guess one of the main reasons why this happens is because I am so passionate about sharing my message and my knowledge with the world that perfection or fear of making mistakes is not my concern at all.

You see, I think one of the main reasons people do not create too much content is because they think that what they write needs to be perfect. They read it and read it over and over again and the more they read it the more they change it and consequently the more what they have written about will move away from the original message.

Would you have a go at me if I tell you that content creation is one of the easiest things you can possibly do and master in a very quick period of time?

You see, imagine you are going to meet a friend and have a cup of coffee with them.

Would you feel stuck on what to say?

Would you just remain silent and not speak at all?

You would not, I am sure. You will have plenty to say and discuss it. And the good news is that you can do exactly the same with your content.

Yes, creating content is as easy as creating conversation topics during a coffee chat with your friends.

Let’s go deeper into this and give you some ideas on how content creation can become super easy for you.

1)One way I love creating content is through being 100% present in my daily life and get inspiration from it.

Let me expand on this.

Everything that happens to you during the day can become a topic for the content. Imagine the conversations you are having with your husband/wife, partner or children. Imagine the things you see at the grocery stores, the conversations you hear at work or in the streets. Imagine the article you read and the news you watch.

I create my entire content based on conversations I have with friends or with my close family.

I create content based on my mind chatter, on ideas and thoughts that pops up in mind every day.

And I often try to fit them in and mold them to the message I am delivering. For instance, my message is often relating to selling and client attraction and I can easily create posts from my children selling something off the street for charity, or from behavior they have around selling.

Or for instance, you could create content from Advertising poster you see while walking in the streets. I once created some content based on the advert of a university, which I saw from a bus. The advert was talking about choosing the right university for you and not your parents. I created a beautiful mind-set content around this, that got me much engagement.

The secret here is to remain open, to look outside the box and to not worry too much about the content being too perfect.

Also, remember that your content needs to be personal and express your point of view so that your readers can relate more with you and feel more connected.

So sharing your “daily routine” and daily thoughts and conversations is a great way to do this.

2)Another powerful way I use is creating “contrast content”. What I mean by this is creating content by stating your opinion on something. First of all, I want to stress here how important it is for your audience to see that you have strong opinions and that you stick to it. Nobody likes to see fluffy leaders all over the place, with no strong beliefs or values.

This is so easy to do. I often scroll through social media and look at what other people write, not to copy but to get my opinion going. I might read some articles or other people comment on an article that makes my blood boil and to which I strongly disagree to. So what I do is write my comment and my version of the story for my own content.

Being opinionated will help you a lot. It has helped me create beautiful “contrast content” which gave me lots of engagement and followers.

The most important ingredient in all of this is to be real, present and notice what is happening around you and start becoming aware that any single words spoken, conversations taken, facts that happen to you can become an inspiration from which write some great content.
