How To Create A GTM Strategy That Drives Product Growth And Accelerates Adoption.

It's funny how a lot of people think that a Go-To-Marketing (GTM) strategy simply means conducting a big event for product launch and voila, the product is in the market. Truly a good Go-To-Marketing strategy is the key to success when it comes to market penetration. However you will find that it is more than just inviting friends and family to a product launch event. Whether you're launching a new product, entering a new market, re-introducing a product, or simply aiming to stay competitive, a well-thought-out GTM strategy can be the difference between a flop and a positive result.

What is a Go-To-Market Strategy?

A GTM strategy is more than just marketing; it's a compact and fully detailed plan that encompasses product development, marketing, sales, and customer service. From how your company will reach your target audience to delivering unique value to them.

The mistake a lot of startups make is thinking that their strategy should cover just the announcement of their “Big solution”, so they prepare majorly PR strategies, getting their team featured on newspapers and Online magazines. This sometimes leads me to reflect on whether most startups genuinely prioritize the solutions they create or if they are primarily drawn to the allure of being labeled as a "tech startup."

To a very large extent GTM strategies are for your target audience and so it requires a lot of research to tailor your product for a market, the best way the market would respond to it.

It is a blend of positioning and hitting the market the right way. Sadly, everything you need to know about creating an effective GTM strategy, I cannot write about in this newsletter. However you can learn everything there is to learn about creating a Go-To-Marketing strategy from scratch by taking an in-depth course on “THE ULTIMATE GUIDE TO BUILDING AN EFFECTIVE GO-TO-MARKETING STRATEGY”.

GTM Strategy Course

This course is tutored by Onyinyechi Nneji, a product marketing lead that has spearheaded a lot of GTM strategies for startups and brands across Africa. The course is available on Blurpe and upon completion you get a certificate.

The good thing about this course is that it delves knee deep into the nook and cranny of a GTM Strategy. My personal favourite parts of the course are where Onyinyechi focuses on research methods and focusing on Customers, you realize that the assumptions you gather about your target audience will be trumped when you get to work and do the field work, there’s also converting research to value proposition and how to actively launch successful products. When you take the course, I'm sure you’ll have your personal faves.

More than anything, you will learn what is required to take a product to market successfully and drive product growth. To learn more about this course and enroll, visit: bit.ly/gtmonlinecourse

A well-executed GTM strategy can make all the difference between you and your competitors. Don't miss this opportunity to sharpen your strategy skills and take your product to new heights.
