How To Create a Dynamic Augmented Reality Experience Using echo3D’s Console Tools (No Code)

If you find yourself struggling with the technicalities of creating an augmented reality (AR) experience or lack the required programming skills, don’t worry. The good news is that?echo3D?provides a convenient suite of solutions, even for the most non-technical individuals.

echo3D?offers a?3D Model Editor,?WebAR Customizer?and a?3D Scene Editor?that allows users to build multiple assets into one object, resize, manage materials and customize the AR experience.?echo3D?makes 3D asset management seamless with all these tools and integrations at your disposal.

In this demo, we modify an existing 3D asset. We modified the size, shadows and added branding as well as a button to the AR experience. We are using Mother’s Day as an example to create a customized WebAR experience to shop for flowers at 1–800-Flowers.

Steps

• Add a 3D?asset to the echo3D console.

Scene Editor

We used this to resize the object by scaling it down to 1 all around.

• We then exported the asset back to the echo3D console.

Model Editor

• We turned the Shadow Intensity all the way up and took the Shadow Softness all the way down.

WebAR Customizer

• We used the WebAR Customizer to add a background image of the WebAR experience and added two UI features: a clickable logo that redirects to the 1800flowers.com and a clickable button that wishes users a happy Mother’s Day!

Once we completed the changes required, we had a free standing WebAR experience that could work as a marketing tool.
