How to Create a Culture of Discovery

FACT: People, whether they're customers, clients, colleagues, or employees, won't ever come to new conclusions with old information.
In the pursuit of discovery, of newness, of innovation, and of art itself, there are certain things we must do to remind others what is possible.
HOW TO LEAD, INNOVATE, AND INSPIRE
We must see what others don’t and draw those so they're visible.
We must hear the notes others don’t and sing those.?
We must observe the colors others ignore and paint those.?
We must imagine the things others don’t, and give them someplace to be heard.
We must question the unquestioned so others see it’s safe to stretch the status quo.
UNDILUTED ROCKET FUEL
This is why I love doing interviews on podcasts and other venues.
Because I am willing to discuss topics openly without a safety net.
The end result is: knowledge bombs drop, gold nuggets show up and inspirations come from the least expected places.
"Boredom's not cheap. Being predictable isn't smart. 'Fitting in' is the most expensive mistake you'll ever make."
You can't engage people when you bore them with cliche dialog and monotonous, repetitive stories. As a result, boring your customers is the most costly way to kill your business, its growth, and its impact.
Being predictable applies to places where "expected things" should be, but that should NEVER replace opportunities when you can (and should) surprise.

Fitting in is an admission of failure to challenge the status quo than it is to achieve anything beneficial.
In the video below are 12 knowledge bombs that dropped spontaneously because I was so inspired by the topics we were discussing.
Some people ask me how do these ideas come to me?
My only answer: by operating on this principle:
"The next moment, undefined, should be amazing, new and fresh, and has something in it not yet discovered."
Support a culture of discovery. It's your only way to build trust, embrace differences and connect the dots others miss.
