How to Create Consistent Content on Social Media

How to Create Consistent Content on Social Media

Have you thought or said this before: “I don’t have time to build a brand” ?!

If you’re overwhelmed with social media marketing and creating content for your personal brand… You’re not alone. It’s easy to scroll through Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter and feel like other people are posting content nonstop. You might even feel like you’re running out of ideas for your own brand platforms.

But with some mindset shifts and strategies, you can be consistent with your personal brand and make a real impact.

Mindset shift Nr 1:You don’t FIND time, you MAKE time.

Instead of saying “I just can’t find time in my day to work on my brand”, say “I am not willing to make time during my day to work on my brand”.

Because that is the truth. You can always make time (even if it’s just 5min a day) to do the things that are a priority to you.

Mindset shift Nr 2: Care about your audience

  • Remember that you're creating content for a specific kind of person - your perfect niche.
  • Your content is for them, not for yourself or your brand.
  • When you post on social media, remind yourself that there's a person waiting to receive value from you.

Mindset shift Nr 3: Other people are successful because they're consistent

  • Don't worry about creating the best content, focus on consistency.
  • People follow others who consistently create content, even if it's not “perfect”.
  • If your content is amazing but you're not consistent with it, people won't trust you.

Remember: Visibility equals credibility. Being known always beats being the best.

Now let’s come to the strategies to become consistent in developing your brand:

1. Manage your time wisely

One of the biggest challenges of building a personal brand when you lack experience is managing your time effectively. Here are some strategies you can use to get more done:

Use the '3-in-1' Method

This method is a great way to balance work and business. Instead of looking at your 24hrs as “one day” look at it as “three days”.

Here’s how you can do that:

For Entrepreneurs:

  • “Day 1”: 7-11 creative work
  • “Day 2”: 11-15 meetings
  • “Day 3”: 15-19 emails, planning, and customer service

For 9-5ers or Side-Hustlers:

  • “Day 1”: 5-9 creative work
  • “Day 2”: 9-17 your day job (use the lunch breaks for emails/ social media posting)
  • “Day 3”: 17-21 education

Group tasks together

Group similar tasks together to avoid context-switching, which can decrease your productivity.

Example: If you're a freelance photographer, you can batch your photo editing tasks into one day, meeting with clients on another day, and sending invoices on a third day.

Batch Create Content:

1 Month of Posts in 3 Days!

Batch creating content is a game-changer for busy individuals who want to maintain an online presence but have limited time. Instead of scrambling to come up with new content every day, batching allows you to create a large volume of content at once, which can be scheduled and posted later on. By doing this, you can save time and energy, while also ensuring that your audience receives consistent and quality content.

  • To start batch-creating content, begin by brainstorming ideas and organizing them into categories or themes.
  • Then, create a content calendar and determine how many posts you want to create for a given timeframe.
  • Next, set aside time to create the content in bulk, focusing on one category or theme at a time.
  • Finally, schedule the content to be posted on the appropriate days, and you're done!

Pick Your Battles

You shouldn't be on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and YouTube at the same time and then not create anything there consistently. So, pick which channels you want to be known for and pick one or two channels you have to consistently create content for. Don't look at the whole field and want to win in everything, just pick your channels, know exactly which platforms are great for your audience, and then be there.

Remember, building your personal brand is about providing value to your audience. If you focus on consistently delivering value, you'll build trust and grow your following over time.

These tips are incredible and I was mind blown when I read the line 'there is a person waiting to receive value from you'. It's so important to always remember that if one person gets value from it, then you have done a great job. I would add that having a great system that helps you create and post content is key, especially for those who have full-time gigs. Amazing ???? Sina ??
