How to Create a Career You Love

I have to be 100% honest.

I love my job/career, and I recognize how much of a privilege that is.

But I had to work for it.

With that said, if you're doing work that you don't GENUINELY love or doesn't speak to you at your core, explore how you can make a shift in your life so you can pursue the work that you will enjoy doing.

When I share this perspective with people in my life, a few of them have shared the following remark with me:

"You know what Tim, you're "lucky."

Some people like the stability of living/working in a job they hate and not pursuing what they love. They love the familiarity/consistency of a steady paycheck, excellent benefits, and being able to take care of their family. Not everyone needs to pursue their passion or do purposeful work."

I DO NOT subscribe to this mentality at all and luck only exists for those who grind for it.

You DO NOT have to have a passion in order to do PURPOSEFUL work.

You DO have to stop standing in your own way and start seeking or creating opportunities that allow you to unlock your purpose or position you to do purposeful work.

Life is short.

We all have two options:

1. Live continuously creating/molding a career you love.

2. Live without ever taking control of your career.

I choose 1.
