Creating ads may seem simple at first. After all, it's just showing the product, right?
No! Not at all.
I like to say that creating Ads is like a science, you need to factor in a multitude of things that when joined together will create an awesome ad creative.
In this article, I'm going to share a couple of tips that have helped me create high-converting (yet good-looking) ad creatives.
1?? They must be tailored to your consumer:
Don't design ads that you like, design ads that your customer will like and drive them to your website.
That's a big difference! We tend to take our perception of what's good and what's not, while never realising that the consumer is the one that is going to decide if it is good or not.
The 1st frame is the most important one, include a strong hook and value propositions that are relevant for your target (e.g. key messages, benefits, features, etc.)
2?? Be clear on the message you put out there:
We have to think strategically about formats here.
If you show a video, you are telling users that you want them to watch a video. (Important to include a CTA in the video)
If you show a still image, you're presenting a quick way to digest the information and then take action.

3?? Try shorter videos:
Lately 3-5 second ads have been outperforming longer ones.
Facebook takes a big look at video completion rate, and if your video has almost a 100% video completion rate, then it's going to be shown to more people.
4?? Focus on vertical videos:
Create and review videos on mobile! You can edit the videos directly from your phone too!
This is one of the most important things that you can do, depending on your audience you may see that a big percentage of users are using mobile to see your ads, if that's the case, then the ads need to be tailored to that screen size.
5?? Make ads more organic:
UGC (User Generated Content) is working better and better because it looks more "amateurish" and escapes the user's watchful eye.
Testimonial / Review style ads tend to perform very well as they show a person using your product and giving an honest review. The user that's watching this video will be more likely to buy because they have the trust that it is accurate and that other people are using it.
