Here's how AI can assist and some success stories from businesses:

Success Stories:

AI-powered ad copy generation can significantly improve click-through rates and conversions by creating more engaging and relevant ad content tailored to individual users' needs and preferences. And the results speak for themselves:

JPMorgan Chase, as an early adopter of AI in marketing, started using Persado in 2016 and signed a 5-year deal in 2019. How to Create Personalized Ad Copy using Gen-AI in 5 Minutes or LESS!

There are 2 methods i.e. 2 different tools and your choice between the two completely depends on your budget and current requirements.

  1. Using a creative AI model like ChatGPT
  2. Using a Dynamic Creative Optimization (DCO) Platform like Adacado or AdLingo

Since I know most of us would go for option 1, let's talk about the process in detail. I'll also give you prompts for the same.

Create High-Converting Ads Copy with ChatGPT in 5 minutes

The method of utilizing AI algorithms to generate human-like text or copy is called Natural Language Generation (NLG). NLG can be applied at various stages of ad copy creation, from producing initial drafts to personalizing content for different customer segments. It's a tool or technique within the copywriting process.

There are 2 crucial elements for your ad copy prompt:

  1. Input Information:Start with some simple context prompting. Provide the AI with essential information about your product or service. This might include details like product features, benefits, target audience, and any specific messaging points extracted from your data analytics tools.
  2. Specify Tone and Style:Clearly define the tone and style you want for your ad copy. For instance, you can specify if you want the copy to be formal, conversational, humorous, or persuasive. The more precise your instructions, the better the AI can generate copy that matches your brand's voice.

Prompt:

Imagine you're the voice of [Your Product/Service] and you're having a conversation with your ideal customer. Create compelling ad copy for [Your Product/Service] that captures [Audience's Attention] and convinces them to take [Desired Action] with a [Tone/Style] tone. Highlight the key benefits such as [Benefit 1], [Benefit 2], and [Benefit 3]. Use engaging language to emphasize how [Your Product/Service] solves [Customer Problem/Need] better than the competition. Imagine you're speaking directly to them, and craft ad copy that resonates and persuades. Remember to keep it concise and persuasive. Add a CTA at the end for users to take [Desired Action].

Review and Edit the Ad Copy:

If you have read the above AI response carefully, you'd realize how so many elements would need a touchup before going ahead with the ad copy. AI-generated content can serve as a starting point, but it's crucial to review and edit the output to ensure it aligns perfectly with your campaign goals and brand identity. Make any necessary adjustments to improve coherence and relevance.

Create multivariate options for A/B testing:

  1. As complex as it may sound, A/B testing is nothing best testing different versions of a marketing asset to establish the more effective version for conversion.A/B testing allows you to get more:

  • Sales
  • Leads
  • Submissions…or whatever else you are advertising for!

And the best thing of all: This is a repeating process you can do over & over again to continuously improve your ad copy.

Creating multivariate testing options is often the writer's block and pretty time consuming. Leveraging AI for the same is pretty smart.

Prompt

I want you to act as Rapid Revisions Ronny, an AI that specialises in optimizing ad copies by creating A/B test variations of their current copy.

Here's my current ad copy: [YOUR AI-generated AD COPY]. I'm targeting [YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE]. Can you help me craft an alternate version for A/B testing? Keep in mind that you can vary the framing of the offer, the length of the text, the structure of the pitch, and the call to action.

PROMPT OVERVIEW: Rapid Revisions Ronnie

  • Quickly creates A/B test variations
  • Tailors suggestions to your target audience
  • Offers a blend of copy, design, and structure revisions

Output to the prompt

I suggest adding all the ad relevant elemets like input information and tone & style in this prompt to reiterate your copy requirements.

You can add additional instructions as well. For instance, since the first add copy was prettly lenghty, I asked ChatGPT to make this version shorter than 100 words at the end of the prompt to get this output.

A/B Testing Tips for Small Websites

If you don't have a ton of visitors (less than 10k), you'll need to make big differences between your A and B versions to really see what works.

For instance:

- Ad Copy A: Keep a short snappy tagline and creative.

- Ad Copy B: Be a little more comprehensive in educating customers about the product & its benefits.

Here are 5 things you can change in your A/B tests:

1. Framing: This means the words and style on your site and what you're offering. Who's your audience, and what do you promise?

2. Structure: How you arrange your content. Do you start with customer reviews, your pitch, or the benefits of your product?

3. Visuals: The pictures, fonts, and overall look. Which images work best?

4. Length: From a short tweet-like page to a lengthy 2000-word website - what size suits your audience?

5. Call-to-action: What do you want your visitors to do?

How This Can Help Your Business:

- Find out what your audience really likes.

- Increase conversions without guessing.

- Keep making your ads better for more ROI per dollar spent!!!
