How To Create An AI Sales Bot That Literally Sells Your Prospects For You

Forget calling your leads, manually following up, or even setting pre-qualifying meetings. All you need is an AI Sales Bot and a proven system. Read along to see how we build them.

After launching 300+ growth marketing campaigns and generating over 2000+ leads for various companies monthly, I’ve realized a core problem.

Most teams and solo founders suck at following up. Yet, many won’t admit it.

Here’s what I usually hear instead:

  1. These leads suck
  2. We’re not getting enough leads
  3. If only I just had more appointments
  4. If only we had more traffic
  5. If we only we just got more referrals
  6. Our ads need to be better

There may be some truth to this but in reality, you can reduce your CAC and increase your bottom line substantially if you were to just follow up more frequently.

Here’s the issue:

  1. Each lead needs to be followed up with 8–15 times minimum
  2. Trust, booking rates, and conversion rates are at all-time lows

So, to get customers, you must be following up with ALL your leads A LOT.

Is that possible for a team? Maybe..

Possible for 1 person? Absolutely not.

The opportunity here is..

You don’t have to do it anymore.

I’m serious.

These AI bots are SO good, introverts and extroverts alike will see it and say “Damn..!”

Here’s what we’ve seen:

  1. 74% reduction in CAC
  2. 120% reduction in CPBC
  3. Higher quality leads
  4. Higher show rates
  5. High lead responsiveness
  6. Less OPEX
  7. Higher revenue per employee

Today, I want to break down the step-by-step process on how we build these bots, what they look like, and how to implement them inexpensively into your business.

Picking the Right Channel and Traffic Source

Conveniently, these bots can work on:

  1. SMS (my favorite)
  2. IG DM
  3. FB DM
  4. Google My Business
  5. Whatsapp
  6. LinkedIn (coming soon!)

We’re seeing it work on any of these. However, SMS is still the clear winner. More on that later.

However, it’s up to you to decide where and how you will be getting traffic.

The two methods here I’d recommend:

  1. Organic
  2. Paid

And if you have at least $1,500 to spend on ads a month, in all honesty, you should be doing ads.

So let’s say you have that budget, the next question is, should you do DM ads or build a funnel for SMS?

Let’s compare.

DM ads:

  1. They are easier and cheaper to set up
  2. Not as effective
  3. Not as scalable
  4. Good for those just starting out

Here’s how these work.

You will build a creative, write some copy, and launch an ad for your desired targeting.

The goal of the ad is for people to DM you and inquire about a service/product. When they DM you, the bot will take over the conversation and either sell your product or book a meeting for you.

Pretty cool huh?

When I say it will book or sell for you.. it really does. This thing is good.

However, some critical problems here:

  1. You don’t retain their contact info so it’s easy to lose leads
  2. You have less control
  3. The leads are going to be less serious and less responsive
  4. Typically the leads are a bit more expensive ($10-$20 per messenger conversion)

Now, let’s get into the traditional funnel for SMS.

Traditional Marketing Funnel

Ah.. my personal favorite!

Here’s where you’ll have an Ad -> landing page opt-in -> VSL -> book a call page.

For the leads that opt-in, they will be nurtured with the SMS bot to drive them to action.

About 5–10% of the leads on their own will book a call (if your funnel is good) and the SMS bot will handle the rest.

Some critical highlights here:

  1. Most people open SMS compared to email and DM (+60% or more typically)
  2. Response rates are higher
  3. Booking rates are higher
  4. Leads are cheaper
  5. Quality is higher
  6. You get to retain the contact in your database
  7. You can still email, voicemail drop, and get as crazy as you’d like with additional follow up and reactivation

Clearly, I’m a huge fan of the funnel in this case. It does take a larger lift but it’s worth it.

However, the following tactics have brought about some impressive results:

  1. 74% reduction in CAC
  2. 120% reduction in CPBC
  3. Higher quality leads
  4. Higher show rates
  5. High lead responsiveness
  6. Less OPEX
  7. Higher revenue per employee

Safe to say, this implementation has been incredible for the folks we partner with.

Before I jump into how to build these, I’d like to mention a short piece on how you can do this organically.

Organic AI Bot Implementation

I personally don’t spend much time doing this, but I’m seeing it done well.

If you’re someone who loves to post content, consider asking people to DM you or comment a particular word as a CTA at the end of the video or for your content piece.

That’s how the bot can be triggered as well.

So, the same way I’ll show you how to create a bot can work for organic or paid.

Personally, paid media is undefeated (so long as you have $1,500/mo to spend starting out).

Anyways, let’s jump into how you can do this yourself.

How to Create Your Hardest Working Employee for a Fraction of the Cost

Firstly, you’ll need a CRM, regardless of whatever method you choose (organic/paid).

I’d recommend High Level for this (this is an affiliate link that I will get paid for).

I will live and die by this software given I thoroughly believe that if it cannot be done in High Level, it probably isn’t important.

From there, you will connect your relevant accounts.

Then, you will need to create just two automations and set up Zapier pretty simply.

The trigger here is when someone opts into the funnel.

If you’re doing DM ads, you’d have the trigger be “the customer replied on IG/FB”.

From here, we generate the opportunity and then ask an open-ended question to spark a conversation.

After an hour, we want to follow up again. Later, we continue to follow up for a week or two until they respond. That is the primary goal here: get the bot activated.

Don’t forget to add a kill switch tag. If this isn’t added, the bot won’t work. So you want to be able to disable the bot if needed at any time. In this particular case, this workflow adds a tag “ai setting”. So at any time, we can cancel the bot.

Once they do reply, here’s where the magic happens:

This automation is stellar. This generates an open loop and will continue to roll so long as the prospect is responding.

If they reply, we send a response to Zapier. If we send the GPT response from Zapier to High Level, that activates the other trigger “response has changed”. Then, we send that GPT response to them.

Additionally, you will need to add the following custom fields to hold and maintain information and historical context of the conversation.

Then, you will set up Zapier with three steps here.

There’s some context that I cannot add here for the sake of brevity, however, you will have to add the correct custom fields from High Level into the relevant locations for each of these steps.

Then, you will send the new information back to High Level to activate the “response changed” trigger to run the bot.

Great, now that’s finished, let’s set up the front end.

Your Front-End To Capture Traffic

You will need ads, a landing page opt-in, VSL/booking page/sales page if you’re going the SMS route.

For a high-ticket service, I’d recommend the following structure:

  1. Ad
  2. Opt-in
  3. VSL page
  4. Booking page with a questionnaire

When leads book, you want to have that first sequence ask an open-ended question to generate a response.

That way, we can get the bot going. In this case, we try to follow up and get that response a handful of times before pushing them to a long-term nurture.

Once they reply, the bot will take over for you.

For my other folks looking to do IG/FB DM’s, this is much simpler.

You won’t need any pages, you just set up that first sequence with the trigger as IG or FB DM.

Any response will allow the bot to take action.

TL;DR

And that’s it! From here, there are specifics that you can manipulate like:

  1. Bot training docs and information
  2. Funnel changes and opening messages
  3. Speed and frequency of the bot
  4. And much more

However, if I got into everything, we’d be here for many hours.

So, I hope this sparks interest in how you can improve your back-end marketing to make more money.

Here’s what we spoke about today:

Most teams and solo founders struggle with follow-up, crucial for reducing CAC and increasing revenue.

An AI sales bot can handle this, following up with leads 8–15 times, and ensuring higher booking and conversion rates. Here’s how to build and implement one:

  1. Choose Channels and Traffic Sources: Bots work on SMS, IG DM, FB DM, Google My Business, Whatsapp, LinkedIn (soon). SMS is the most effective. Use organic or paid traffic sources.
  2. Setup: For SMS funnels, use an ad -> landing page opt-in -> VSL -> booking page. Bots handle lead nurturing and responses, improving engagement and lead quality.
  3. Automate: Use CRM (ex. High Level), connect accounts, create automation, and set up Zapier. Ensure bots follow up consistently and have a kill switch for manual control.
  4. Front-End Capture: Design ads, landing pages, and booking pages. For IG/FB DMs, set the bot to trigger replies without needing pages.

This strategy improves lead quality, show rates, responsiveness, and revenue per employee while reducing CAC and OPEX.
