I have been seeing videos that keep popping up in my LinkedIn feed with the hashtag #10days10tips People have been posting videos for 10 days giving tips to their followers about their expertise.
The way it works is that you need to tag three people at the end of your post and those people are then nominated to make 10 videos for 10 days with a tip each day.
I was nominated by Shira Charles whom I met at the Jbiz expo and then again at a LinkedIn Local event in NJ.
At first I did not know what to do, how will I come up with 10 tips, I have hundreds of tips that I can give. I decided to give tips about things that excite me and to keep it super simple.
To keep things simple, I have decided to give my 7 daily tips that I include in my high energy secrets book. Then for my final 3 tips I will a marketing tip, a networking tip and a prospecting tip.
Once all the tips are done, I will link each video to this article so you can see all the videos that I created over the course of 10 days.
Now that I planned this out, it will be so much easier for me to pop out the videos each day.
Here goes! Day 1…
Measure:
You cannot improve something that you are not measuring. I wanted to lose weight so I measured my weight each day. I want to improve my sales, I would measure my sales activities each day. You must have a clear goal and you must measure daily to make sure that you are going to hit your goal. Keep in mind that are there are two major types of indicators that you can measure. Leading indicators and lagging indicators. Also known as product goals and process goals. Most people measure only results but they do not measure process. You must measure both to really get to your goal. What are you measuring daily?
Day 2...
Water:
Did you know that your body is 80 percent water? Mine used to be 80 percent snapple. Most people do not know this but studies indicate that a 5 percent drop in hydration is equal to a 30 percent drop in energy. If you want more energy do not bother drinking more coffee, instead drink water! Half your weight in ounces is the daily recommended amount. How much water did you drink today?
Day 3...
Gratitude:
You cannot be grateful and angry at the same time. It's hard to remember to be grateful when things are just not going your way. Keep in mind that gratitude is always there for you to nurture it and give it attention. When you focus on it, it expands and you start to notice more things that you can be grateful for. Trade your expectations for appreciation and your entire life changes in an instant. What are you grateful for today?
Day 4...
Communication:
Each day you need to remind yourself to communicate. Maybe through journaling or through talking to your friends and family. When you communicate you can improve your thoughts to help you get closer to your goals. Communication is also important because that is a basic way to celebrate your successes. When you celebrate your success you end up attracting more success. How are you communicating each day?
Here are the rest of the days, will add the content here as the days go on..
- Communication
- Learning
- Contribution
- Present
- Marketing
- Networking
- Prospecting
The key is the I went ahead and planned out my 10 days so I do not need to worry about what I am going to talk about. I spend a few minutes planning out my 10 tips and now I do not have to stress out about making sure I have a tip each day.
What will you give tips about?
Think about what excites you, think about what you are good at, think about the questions people usually ask you about your business or about something you do well.
What do you want to teach people about that you learned?
