How to Craft The Perfect Sales Meeting Agenda ?
Transforming Meetings from Time-Wasters to Opportunities for Success requires one thing... a plan! ?????
We've all been there — trapped in a cycle of pre-meetings, post-meetings, and meetings to plan other meetings. It can feel like a never-ending loop ??
Your customers feel this too. The last thing they want is another time-consuming meeting added to their calendar. ??
However, meetings are sometimes necessary and, when done right, can be incredibly valuable. ??
Meetings offer a unique opportunity for face-to-face (or virtual face-to-face) interactions, free from distractions, with full attention on the matter at hand.
But Here's the Catch... ??
Despite their potential... a lack of preparation and direction leads to wasted time discussing things like how AI is going to kill us all, and if Man City will be punished before then or not... rather than focusing on the objectives of the meeting!
So... I have two simple rules for every meeting:
1. Have an agenda.
2. Stick to it.
... not hard, right?
And if you share that agenda at least an hour before the meeting, you can ensure:
? All necessary topics are addressed.
? There are no surprises for either the host or attendees.
? You make efficient use of the allocated time.
? Note-taking for follow-up actions is streamlined.
Skipping the agenda can lead to:
? Overlooking important discussion points.
? Confusion about the meeting's objectives.
? Inadequate time to achieve your goals.
? Loss of critical information, wasting both your time and that of your prospect.
So, how do you craft ?The Perfect Agenda?
Here's what I'd never leave out:
?? The meeting's objective.
? Questions YOU plan to ask.
?? Time for THEM to ask questions.
?? Time to cover off whatever information you need to present.
?? An "any other business" section for unexpected topics.
The key takeaway? ??
Run an efficient meeting and don't waste your prospects' time. It's simple, it makes you look good and they'll LOVE you for it! ??

10 个月Great tips, Miles! I often find that meetings don't have an agenda or clear objective at all and just sort of 'happen' only because they are in the calendar. A lot of business meetings should be an email, but those that need to happen must have a clear objective and defined follow-up actions. Even small changes can make a big difference to how effective meetings can be.
