How To Counteract a Boring LinkedIn Feed
The only thing worse than milquetoast posts is posts about how dull the feed is. This may come as a surprise: you have the ability to log off and do something more productive.
The more this site plays up "Dwell time" I want to economize the limited resource of time. When I am on the internet later than expected it is as unfulfilling as when I lived in Phoenix, stayed up to watch the end of the Suns game and they lost a close game.
I don't like their chances against Minnesota. Another story, another article. The ones who complain about boring posts are no better than children saying "I'm bored." If you are bored there is a good chance you are boring as well.
How can you jazz up the feed? Connect with people you like. Most of my connections are English or Jewish. They describe the world from their perspectives. I was describing the Phoenix Suns earlier. Certain connections post about the NBA.
Talking about whether anyone can beat The Celtics or who will survive a stacked Western Conference is interesting. It beats the vague concept of building a personal brand. Certain topics intrigue me. I am connected with artists. When they show a work in progress or a finished painting- that is good.
It beats worshipping Chat GPT. I disconnected with one man who posts about nothing else. Don't use your brain- see if I care. The more basic your posts are the easier it is for someone to plagiarize.
I dare anyone to plagiarize my work. Who knows- maybe they had a dream about a group of nuns who learned to gamble, became very good at it and took down a casino. The pit bosses probably wouldn't question nuns. Of course, with their vows of poverty they would only play for charity.
It wouldn't affect their taxes. Nuns are few and far between. I knew a couple classmates who joined the priesthood. No one was called to the convent. The shortage of nuns could be a factor as to why Catholic school tuition has risen exponentially.

They could keep costs down with nuns. At St James there were nuns teaching in every grade. Last I heard the principal was a nun and every teacher was a layman. I could research why no women are sent to the convent.
Were some young girls considered "wild" and sent to the convent to control them? Remember- women are the only ones accused of demonic possession. I had a therapist who feared I would be possessed.
If he thought not feeling like dating would cause me to date men it isn't strange to think I could be possessed by Satan after realizing there is no Hell. If divorce and that custody trial taught me anything- fire and pitchforks have nothing on the lengths my father was willing to go to malign my mother and me.
I sincerely hope no one has a post like that. Some have posted about sexual assault. Thankfully I have nothing to that extreme to report. I am giving a call to action.
My calls to action are almost as ignored as applying online. If you see boring post after boring post- make new friends. Express yourself. Instead of writing "LinkedIn is getting boring" it was always boring to a certain degree.
Is it boring that Alexander Ovechkin has scored at least thirty goals eighteen straight years? Is it boring that Mike Tomlin has winning records every year he coached the Pittsburgh Steelers? Do well, be consistent and explore different avenues. If you think everything you see is boring, don't post about it. No one will comment eloquently on that.
If you are spinning your tires, stuck in the mud on LinkedIn, log off. Go outside. Pick up the phone and talk to someone you have been meaning to call. There's a world out there. If you think LinkedIn is boring or it sucks; that's on you. If you have a crummy hand as can happen to anyone; discard. Sometimes you need to reshuffle the deck.
