How corporate influencers teach business competition fear

As a corporate influencer or brand ambassador, the employee can express his or her opinion in many ways on the Internet and therefore significantly influence the image of a company as well as the personal brand that is connected with. A corporate influencer has great benefits for the company: it stands for authenticity and credibility with customers and potential employees. Compared to external social media influencers, corporate ambassadors or corporate influencers are employees of the organization who act on a voluntary and unpaid basis, regardless of their specialist background and job description.

5 Factors for the Successful Use of Corporate Influencers on Social Media Channels

How do I as a company can motivate my employees to participate either on the company's own social media sites, on rating portals or on their personal social media profiles? How are corporate influencers created, that positively evaluate the company as a personal brand? And what actually motivates employees to act as corporate influencers?

1. Wake up the blogger in you - write for and about the company

A very popular method that some companies, such as Bosch, are now taking advantage of, is the creation of an employee blog that is published on the company's website. It gives employees and workers the opportunity to report authentically on their departments and activities. This also includes interviews and employee portraits.

2. Reputation is good for you - and that's what the employee as company ambassador carries to the outside world!

Good for your own ego and good for the company - because an employee who feels recognized and valued identifies more with the company and its goals. Therefore: internal employee support is at least as important as the external appearance. Internal events, workshops, etc. at which employees interact with the company contribute to corporate loyalty.

3. Show yourself dear coworker - the managing director also belongs to it!

It is interesting for outsiders to see what kind of people are behind the company. Who do I keep in contact with as a customer? Who are my future colleagues? Employee portraits that give the feeling of being part of the company make the company appear more personal and less anonymous to the reader or viewer.

4. Social media trainings for professionals and those who still want to become professionals

In order to be able to use employees of all age groups as brand ambassadors in practice, social media training courses are a tried and tested method in which everyone is brought up to a common level of knowledge. In addition to the technical side, a guideline is essential which contains the posting policy and is binding for all employees. In this way, the company can be anchored in people's minds as a personal brand.

5. Feel like you are at home!

Even large companies can have charm - if the rest works. Because retreat possibilities, which serve the relaxation and recovery or the possibility for small groups offer to work in peace on a common project, are important. Spaces with a personal touch invite you to stay. Nothing illustrates the cohesion among the employees better than a photo on Facebook during the lunch break, which shows everyone eating together in a relaxed atmosphere.

Last stop of wisdom

In general, all the points mentioned can be packed into exciting social media contributions - there are hardly any limits to the imagination here. As a measure, the Swabian company Trumpf from Ditzingen in Germany uses corporate influencers as testimonials, who report on their activities and what makes Trumpf special as an employer in short videos, played out via their homepage and social media. The employees slip into the role of a company ambassador. The result: Trumpf is one of the most popular employers in the region. If a company wants to successfully establish itself in the employee market, effective employee branding has become a must have today. The terms Employee Branding and Employer Branding should not be viewed separately, but rather as part of an overall strategy. Then there is no stopping in front of the competition.
