How The Coronavirus Could "Positively"? Transform Your Business.

How The Coronavirus Could "Positively" Transform Your Business.

You may not believe the coronavirus can have anything but a negative effect on your business. Many people are already knee-jerking, pulling back and in general panicking about what will "negatively" happen. I want to offer you an alternate perspective, there is a way to make this so powerful and a hugely positive time in your business. There are three things you can do. 1. Focus on what you can control. 2. Stop focusing on things you cant control and 3. Safeguard your business and set it up for future success.

1. Focus on what you can control. This time can be such a gift to your business IF you let it.. it is a chance to open your eyes and see what your business is really doing well and poorly, what it is capable of, where its failure points are and make sure your best clients are completely, competently and consistently looked after. How can you do this?

Start by creating a a simple filtering/ rating system you can use to look at anything and everything in your business quickly and easily. Often with my clients we use:

A's- Creating best opportunity for the business and giving the client base the best experience,

B's- Provides moderately good results and can be improved upon to be an A with some attention

C's- Takes away from your businesses survival, progress or success and is a major area of challenge for clients

A's, B's and C's can be anything including; processes, people, systems, meetings, products/services, vendors, marketing, clients, planning, training, finances, direction to name a few.

The better you look at each area and categorise them the easier it is to repair, revise or remove the challenge in each area. focusing on what you can control can add new knowledge, responsibility and control, plus give you more agility, profit, focus, positive single-mindedness employees and reduce stress and freak outs during this time of doubt.

2. Stop focusing on things you cant control. External factors such as what will happen to the world, the economy, the human race because of the virus is a concern, but should not rule your brain, your focus or cause you to go into panic overdrive. When you feel the need to focus outside your business, focus on your best clients and vendors. Call and find out if they are okay, what they might need, how they are feeling during this time. Offer them the ideas in this article to help them get through it all. The solution to removing things you can't control comes back to focusing on things you can control for you and others you are connected to. Thats a great external focus and allows you to make a difference in the process.

3. Safeguard your business and set it up for future success. If you look inside your business and help others to look inside their businesses then the third thing becomes true. Look at the history or recessions, depressions and other times of gigantic challenges a country or the world has had and you'll find so many stories of success. Why because once you've done your inventory and safeguarding, you can turn your mind to creativity and solutions. You may come up with new ideas, products, services, strategies, means of coping, and a multitude of other ways to use your brain and a time of challenge for what it's actually for, to solve things.

These three simple ideas can change your focus. imagine what would happen to your business if you did this and a full blown recession did hit because of the virus and your competition didn't do it, you'd win. Imagine the threat goes away in a couple of months and you safeguarded your business, well guess what, you win again.

There is no losing if you can focus your mind, your team, your business and your efforts. The virus would have positively changed your business and given you a new way to handle any challenge that faces your business in the future.

Make your business an example of positive focus rather than a statistic from lack of action.

Great Success,
