The “new world” could be less temporary than you might think yet despite the fear and the uncertainty, the new world is surviving somehow but who knows until when.
How any recruiter can turn this challenge to opportunity: before the corona-virus crisis, usually any full time employee drive sometime in the morning and goes in dilemma of daily activities including meetings, walking factories or flying somewhere. But now, most of those employees either stuck at home, bored and waiting at the end of their mobile phone. Maybe even worried about keeping their job or already jobless because of the current situation.
Any proactive employer should take this step to work on '' employer branding '' and this will reflect on both the current employees and also the potential candidates. bearing in mind that any potential candidate now or in while will have question marks and concerns and he/she would like to reassure by a way or another that your company is stable and supportive.
Another thing any recruiter need to digitize the recruitment process.
Also, make sure to use the social media platforms while advertising and work on the job description or advertisement in order to give applicants a holistic understanding of what the job entails. and make sure its engaging, realistic, short, and at the same time, attention-grabbing. For example: attract the right audience by including keywords like virtual, work-from-home, or remote in the title.
The job ad should have the following * more or less *
- A company brief - with the vision and mission, values, and remote working policies especially if you're posting this ad during the corona virus
- The key role of the position and qualifications needed
- Details of the position - whether it is a full-time or part-time job and geographical restrictions if any
- Application deadline if needed.
Make sure to work on switching to online employee on-boarding
I hope these tips will help you get started and keep you on the right track. Good luck
