How to cope with traumatic news

With the 24-hour media coverage around the world, it is hard to avoid relentlessly being bombarded by all kinds of news feeds around the world. Out of those, coverage around traumatic incidents seems to be particularly daunting especially when media outlets themselves attempt to over dramatise the content and force them on us, to gain more clicks, visits and ratings. In this process, the vulnerable people such as the young kinds, people who are the survivors of similar tragic incidents in the past and people living alone might feel overwhelmed and at times upset or depressed.

abc.net.au, The most trusted news source in Australia featured the below illustration which I felt was an attempt to tackled this in an extremely effective way.

Go on, scroll down and go through the content I have shamelessly copy-pasted from their original post because I felt the urge to have this as a part of my professional portfolio of article posts.
