How to Cope with the Stress of Uncertainty: Three steps for managing election anxiety (and other uncertainties)

Hi,

Uncertainty and anxiety go hand in hand. ?Whether you are facing anxiety about the election here in the U.S., or other uncertainties in your life, I wanted to offer something that might help.

?I never know when the inspiration to write a blog will come to me — and yesterday was one of those days. ?I am aware of how much anxiety and stress so many people are experiencing right now, both in personal and collective ways. ?

Some of the strategies I have found to be most helpful in my own life and with my patients in dealing with uncertainty and its accompanying anxiety can be helpful especially in the days ahead for those facing election stress. ?But these strategies are ones that can help with any kind of uncertainty you might be facing.
