It serves no purpose to have many clicks to your website or sales page without any conversions. This is actually one of the foremost things that business owners struggle with.
Even when using automation software like Clickfunnels, this provides a challenge for most business owners.
The specific question that we are answering this week around conversions is the following:
How does one convert somebody from just being a click to being a customer using Clickfunnels?
The off the cuff answer most times is to just add on the right payment mechanism inside of Clickfunnels. But that's not all.
Before we get into that in more depth, let's backtrack and start at the beginning. Let's look at the benefits of Clickfunnels and why it's useful and necessary in the conversion process.
The Power of Clickfunnels
It's important that people understand the power of Clickfunnels.
What it does, is take people along the customer journey and a lot of the time when your avatar is using social media or pay-per-click, or you're using SEO to drive traffic, you are going to be driving traffic to a web or landing page. When you are driving traffic to a website page, the interaction with the clients is very short-lived, they input their details and move on or they buy a product and move on.
What Clickfunnels does really well and pretty much better than any of the other software out there, is that it furthers that customer journey. It allows you to have an ongoing conversation by using the connecting websites together, to further that customer in that process.
What's important about that is Social Media moves so fast, website traffic moves so fast that people can jump into something and just move past it very quickly and forget all about it. With Clickfunnels it takes your customer on a longer, more focused journey and it furthers that interaction. That's why it's really good and really important.
One of the benefits to understanding Clickfunnels is, how you are going to use it for your business? At the end of the day it's like any tool - if you haven't got a strategy how to use it correctly, then you are going to struggle. It doesn't matter if it's social media, SEO (Search Engine Optimisation), or PPC (Pay-per-Click) - whatever it is, you need a strategy to get the maximum benefit from it.
Why you Need to Be Strategic
Strategic thinking is pretty much the key to being successful in business. Too many people do things in one move or one way and then also very transactionally. If you want to be successful in business, you need to be more strategic and think more transformationally.
Here is something to always keep in the back of your mind.
Business is an intellectual sport and the person with the highest intellect and who is the most strategic, is the person that wins.
Now, the difference between tactics and strategy is, tactics is something you do once to try and get a result and most businesses are too tactical. They are trying to do one thing and then have everything work because you did that one thing. But where you win in business is when you get strategic. When you say "I'm going to do this in order to get them here, then I'm going to do this to get them here and then I'm going to do this to get them here", you start getting eight, nine, ten moves ahead, so you control the journey. This is the way that you are going to be streaks ahead of your competition.
Now what's amazing about Clickfunnels is that the software helps you to do that and it helps you to plan that journey out online.
One thing that you will need to convert clicks into customers is a payment option. Of course there are multiple different payment options like Curly, Stripe, and PayPal plus others that you can plug in. You can also plug in financing options depending on your products and services. Essentially you are going to need to put those into place and make them work for you.
Clickfunnels as a Connection Tool
The other thing that you are going to need that is an absolute must for Clickfunnels is the part of the software that allows you to increase communication and touch points with your customers. This is called Actionetics.
What a touch point is, is when somebody sees what you are doing and they interact with you once, then it's easy to be forgotten. But, if they see you 3,4,5,6,7, times and you have 6,7,8 touch points with them, the person is just going to get to the point where they say, "Right, this is the person that helped me. This is the logical person to get me the results. This is the person I need to get into touch with and these are the products and services I need to buy". What's going to happen is, those touch points can be created through text messages, email or using software automation.
One of the things you want to look at, when you go into Clickfunnels, you can just get the basic package where it doesn't include Actionetics (the email software that allows you to keep those touch points up and you can build in those different aspects), or you can get the other option that includes Actionetics. Actionetics is an awesome resource tool for any business. This is the main software that you can use for your database of contacts plus add-on the email software too.
There is a another part of Clickfunnels called Marketplace and in Marketplace you can buy DFY (done for you) funnels. A lot of people are trying to create funnels from scratch, where instead you can just buy a DFY funnel that's tried and tested and just get it done.
If using a DFY funnel can save two days of your precious time then it should definitely be looked at. Sometimes business owners won't help themselves. If you can spend 1000, 2000, 5000 or 10000 GBP and you can save yourself a year - it's always worth it. That's the kind of mentality savvy business owners operate from.
Making use of whatever tool or resource you can to assist you with converting your traffic from clicks into customers just makes sense.
Until next time,
Adam
