How To: Contribute to a Collaborative Article on LinkedIn

Have you ever seen an article on LinkedIn and thought, "I have a lot to say about this topic, I wish I could chat with the author?"
Well...now you can!
LinkedIn is slowly rolling out a brand new feature on the platform called "Collaborative Articles" and the idea is kind of like LinkedIn's version of Wikipedia, where different experts can chime in and share contributions onto a single article.
Not only is it fun to talk about your industry or skills with other professionals, but they are a fantastic way to share your expertise and build thought leadership on specific topics.
Here's how to do it:
I was invited by LinkedIn as an early access contributor, and here are the skills pages that they sent me to contribute to based on my skills:
Leadership:?Leadership,?People Management,?Team Management, or?Management.?
Communication:?Strategic Communications,?Interpersonal Communication,??Writing, or?Presentation Skills.
Career Development:?Mentoring,?Public Speaking, or?Relationship Building.
Sales & Marketing:?Sales,?Social Media Marketing,?Marketing Strategy, or?Sales Management.
Technology:?IT Strategy,?Machine Learning,?Technical Support?or?Enterprise Software.
Creative:?Video Editing,?User Experience, or?Graphic Design.

Lastly, once the feature is fully up and running, all collaborative articles, according to LinkedIn, will be listed here:
2. Click on the article that you want to contribute to.
Let's say that I want to share my expertise on public speaking. I've clicked on the Public Speaking skills page and found an article that I want to contribute to here:
I used to have Agoraphobia and have had a super embarrassing experience with stage fright so I know I'll have something to add to this one!
3. Scroll through the article until you find a point that you want to contribute to, and click on the contribute button.
4. Add your contribution.
5. Now if you check the comments tab on your LinkedIn profile, your contribution to the article should show up!
Pretty cool, right? I'm hoping that in the future, your contribution takes up more real estate on your LinkedIn profile, but this is a nice start!
