How to Contribute to the Accessibility of Information
With the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and freedom of information receiving much attention in recent years, Universal Access to Information Day recognizes information as a fundamental human right. It highlights its role in advancing global goals for empowering governments, individuals, and communities. The United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal includes interoperability to solve global challenges. In this context, the ability to access to information raises awareness of individuals and communities about managerial agendas and empowers them to actively participate in development processes.
INSPIRE is a standards framework for improving the management and use of geographic information in Europe, aiming to improve the consistency, harmonization, cooperation and coordination, policy-making, decision-making, and public services of data quality based on geographic information.
So, how do we contribute to these objectives?
To ensure clarity of information for everyone, we produce thematic maps compliant with INSPIRE standards at various scales with the BelsisCAD modules which are mostly developed by using the open-source database.
Considering the INSPIRE address standards, we develop mobile and web-based applications for local government and municipality field teams to collect address information per international standards and for topological controls.
As Belsis Global, we take into account facilitating access to international information, interoperability, and sustainable development goals in our desktop, web, and mobile applications.?
