How to consume S/4HANA as a service ...

SAP gently moves its customer base towards the fourth generation of their software suite, of course letting it run primarily on their own HANA database. And ... SAP is promoting to consume it as a service, or ... in the Cloud. So far so good.

Many of my customers now start moving towards S/4 and/or HANA, and a lot of questions are coming up, amonst them:

  • Greenfield or Brownfield approach ?
  • What happens with my legacy SAP landscape ?
  • If I go into the cloud, can you run the SAP basis service for me as well ?
  • etc ...

The answer is: you need to consume S/4HANA as a service, including anyCloud, HANA database service and SAP Basis service. This combination which we call S/4HANAaaS at CSC allows you to migrate successfully to the new S/4 world.
