How the connection with nature helps us care for the environment!
Sustainability for Kids
On a mission to educate younger generations on how to bring sustainability into the day-to-day activities!
A note from Anhely...
When I started my journey with ‘Sustainability for Kids’, I didn’t know the extent of what sustainability meant.
Yes, I had an idea of what sustainability involved and all the goals, targets, etc. But it was when I started connecting with people that I realized how things are interconnected and how simple things that we don’t think could relate to sustainability actually do.
When I started attending conferences as a speaker, I’d always start my presentations by asking the question, “Do we really care?”
This was to make the audience think about why this topic is so important and why we all should be working together to solve this climate crisis. But it wasn’t until I met people who were connected to nature that I understood that if we don’t have that connection with our mother Earth, we are not going to care.
And... until we see this planet as our child or mother – call it whatever you’d like – we are not going to start making the changes we need to protect it. This is why making that connection with nature not only helps us heal body and mind but also teaches us the importance of caring for our environment.
Please enjoy the new episode on the Sustainability for Kids Podcast, dedicated to that connection with nature, with Matthew Allbeury!
