How to Communicate the Impossible: An AASA Interview, Mission and Conversation

I am deeply honored to have been selected as one of only six featured speakers for the National Conference on Education’s AASA Podcast, Conference Daily Online. To be recognized in this way is both humbling and invigorating. In this conversation, we explored a topic that is not only timely but necessary for the future of education and leadership:

How to Communicate the Impossible.

The Power of Communication in Times of Uncertainty

Right now, uncertainty is in the air—in education, in leadership, in society. Whether it’s navigating systemic challenges, managing culture shifts, or re-engaging students and staff after years of disruption, the need for clear, effective, and transformative communication has never been greater.

But here’s the truth: What feels impossible is often just waiting for the right perspective, the right strategy, and the right leadership.

Communication is more than just words—it’s about connection, conviction, and clarity. It’s about creating NOW moments where meaningful action replaces hesitation, where solutions emerge from conversations, and where progress becomes inevitable.

I'm thankful to Joseph Jones & Dr. T.J. Vari for recognizing my work and facilitating a great conversation. I truly enjoyed it!

A Mission Bigger Than a Keynote

My life’s work has always been about improving attitudes, behavior, and community—because when those three things are aligned, schools thrive, businesses grow, and people show up as their best selves.

At the core of my message are five pillars of life that, when nurtured, create sustainable success in any environment:

  • ?? Peace – The foundation for clarity, decision-making, and forward movement.
  • ?? Love – The essential bridge to authentic connection and impact.
  • ???? Health – Physical and mental well-being as the fuel for all endeavors.
  • ?? Wealth – Not just financial, but the richness of knowledge, opportunity, and resources.
  • ?? Happiness – The ultimate measure of a fulfilled life, because joy is a necessity, not a luxury.

This is more than just a framework; it’s a way of life. When we commit to embodying these values, we become more of what we want to see in the world.

Gratitude for Those Who See the Mission

I want to extend my deepest thanks to the hosts of the AASA Podcast, the National Conference on Education, and the education industry as a whole for not only recognizing my work but for creating spaces where these critical conversations can take place.

To be seen, to be heard, and to be given a platform to share my passion is something I do not take lightly. Your belief in this mission fuels me to keep going, to keep teaching, and to keep challenging what’s possible.

A Call to Action for Leaders & Administrators

If you are an administrator, educator, or leader who knows that culture, communication, and connection need to evolve in your schools or organizations, I want to hear from you.

I don’t just give keynotes—I build movements around leadership, communication, and the power of NOW moments. Let’s work together to create the kind of schools and communities where students thrive, teachers feel valued, and leaders drive real change.

The impossible is only impossible until it’s done. Let’s do it together.

If you're attending AASA, The School Superintendents Association it would be amazing to connect there! I'm only there for the day but I know the day will be a great experience and beyond!
