How committed are you to your dreams?

How committed are you to your dreams?

An invasion of army can be resisted

But not an idea whose time has come

~ Victor Hugo

Dreaming it in first half

And

Executing it in later one.

One has to dream to know what he can do and then once he becomes aware then he can execute it well.

It is always a necessity to commit to dreaming. If you are no,t then your mind is not free to dream at all. When you are dreaming, make sure you dream big so that you can achieve at least small. If you are not doing it, you are sure to regret it later in your life for sure. The commitment should lie on the action. Granted, if there's no dream then there's no action, but if there's a dream then there should be an action.

I have asked myself this question recently, and I realised it more difficult to answer than I expected. I know I have dreams, goals a call to do something greater, and this means I must take actions. There has been times where are setbacks, when the going got tough and I almost threw in the proverbial towel and couldn't be bother about staying committed. But I perceive these challenges as part of the journey toward a larger accomplishment.

I have been on a fitness journey, every time I miss a day at the gym I am frustrated with myself, but my focus is getting back up and going the next day. Just to keep me working towards my goal. To stay on this path of commitment, I decided to eliminate some habits of spending too much time with friends and going to bed at a different time. Though, this has not been comfortable, but it's vital to goal success and it has really helped me to focus.

When you mean committed to your "dream" as in way that you thought your life was going to turn out as a child, or are you happy with the way you your life is going? Because generally, it is pretty rare that childhood dreams turn out the way that we dream about, because they have a tendency (although not always) to be unrealistic. As we get older, we start to become more and more savvy in the ways of the world, and our dreams can change, and that in itself is not always a bad thing. However, some people have a really hard time with that, and struggle to adjust. In my generation (20-25 year old) there are many people I know who have no idea what to do anymore because their childhood dreams didn't pan out.

I was rather lucky in that since childhood, as I was growing up, people would always come and talk to me about their problems. This is not something that is meant as self-serving, or anything like that, because sometimes it was annoying, as some days, I just wanted to eat my lunch, or read, or do whatever, without someone interrupting me. I was so focused in my work. Fast forward that five years of work or so, and I am doing what I love to do, and it is an amazing experience. But it is hard work, and it can be painful to hear people's experiences and shattered lives. It is something to remember, that commitment your dream, it is not always just joy, because life is not just joy, there is sorrow, fear and failure. I did not get hired at the job I am currently at right away. It took time for me to be fully committed to my dream. And, it is always fine to find new dreams to achieve at least some of them.
