I get people asking me all the time how I come up with the ideas for my videos, emails and articles, etc.
The answer is actually quite simple.
In this article, I'm going to give you all of my free tips on how to generate ideas for great content every single day.
The EASIEST way to come up with new and different content every single day is simply to BE AWARE of what’s going on in your life and around you.
What could I possibly mean by that?
Well, start to pay attention to everyday events, things you observe in others, lessons you learn, aha moments you have.
There are literally ideas, lessons and inspiration all around us. You just need to be aware of them and use them!
And when you do, you’ll never run out of things to write about, or talk about, again.
Here are just a few ideas of where you may find ideas:
- Sporting teams/games
- TV or movies
- News
- Kid’s or family activities
- Parenting experiences
- Holidays
- Situations at home/work/out and about
- Radio
- Nature/Weather
- Conversations
- Book you’re reading
- Emails you receive
- Anything that happens in your daily life
That’s just a handful of ways I get ideas. The list, however, is endless!
This will give you an endless supply of content…As long as you can tie it back to a message that relates to your business.
When I'm ready to turn the idea or inspiration into content, I start with these 5 Magic Questions:
- What’s the situation/inspiration/event?
- What’s the lesson?
- What’s the story?
- What’s the subject line/title?
- What’s the call to action?
So starting TODAY, become highly AWARE of everything around you. Jot down ideas in a travel size notepad or on your phone so you have an arsenal of content to choose from.

This is a great start to creating fantastic content. The next step is learning an important skill – copywriting.
