How a Clear Mind Can Help You Lose Weight
Tracey Gazel
?? I help leaders improve mental clarity and focus, sleep better, feel calmer with less stress, be present at home and enjoy life more.
“Because of you I have lost 50 pounds”.
This is what my client said to me last week.
To which I replied, “How could I have possibly helped with that? We have never discussed weight or losing weight”.
My client and I have been working together for about 15 months. We’ve gone deep into undoing his negative self-limiting beliefs and habits. He has shared with me multiple times that he feels less stressed, more confident, and he feels much more optimistic about life in general.
And as we started to discuss his weight loss, it became clear.
He had put in a lot of practice and effort to quiet his mind.
In quieting his mind, he has a much clearer connection to his body and his physical health.
He is a senior leader at a very high profile publicly funded global company. When the pressure at work feels overwhelming or the demands at home add to his stress, he is not reaching for unhealthy food anymore to cope with it all.
By quieting and clearing his mind, he is very conscious of the choices he is making.
He is drinking more water, eating healthy foods with intention, and he has significantly reduced sugar. He is also exercising regularly.
It is very interesting to me because I am very passionate about physical health for myself, but it is not something that I formally share with my clients. Yet it seems to be a ripple effect that happens when you change and shift from the inside out.
My other client described this work that I help with as helping him from the level of mind/body/spirit.
Because it is all connected.
To be clear, I am not the reason my client lost 50 pounds.
I simply helped remind him how to shift from the inside out and any changes that have happened as a result of that shift are because of him.
I have been noticing many secondary positive outcomes in my clients that have happened as a result of this work and over the coming weeks I will be showcasing a new success story each week, including how they view their past and their optimism of the future, their relationship in their marriage and with their children, their relationships at work with their peers, reporting staff, and bosses, how they are coping with their bad days, and their ability to listen.
Although there are so many benefits to shifting from the inside out, in my opinion the best part is that you get to feel calmer, content, and more peaceful every day. You get to enjoy life more and live your best life, even when life’s circumstances aren’t perfect.
Because there will never be a day when work, home, politics, the economy, and life in general are running perfectly. ?So why not start enjoying the ride today?
Have a great week,
Tracey
P.S. Are you curious how this all works? Here are two more ways to quiet your mind, feel calmer, and enjoy your life more:
1. Get my support as a Secret Weapon. This is for one successful leader, founder, or changemaker who wants to reduce frustration in going into work each day and enhance mental clarity, to manage your emotions and show up even-keeled each day, to discuss and solve interpersonal conflicts at work, to heal relationships at home, and to shut it all off at the end of the day to feel content and relaxed while away from work, all while having someone hold you accountable in progressing forward. We meet regularly to talk through whatever you’re up against and continue to set you up for success.
2. Collaborate as a Shift Catalyst. This is for a high achiever or creator who has a big goal they are looking to achieve and rather than put their head down and grind it out (which is what they’re used to doing), he/she wants to learn how to shift from the inside out while simultaneously achieving their goals. The result is less stress and pressure, and the mental clarity to create your next level of success with ease. This process is perfect for anyone wanting to move into a promotion, create a business, or new project, coupled with the support of mental clarity and accountability.
