How to clear CMOS on Supermicro Mini-ITX motherboard
I have been using Supermicro Mini-ITX motherboard for quite some time (link below). As part of my testing, I go back and forth between different boot options. Not sure what I did, at one point the motherboard refused to boot up. So I reached out to MITXPC from whom I bought the motherboard. Before returning it, their technical support team asked me to try clearing the CMOS on the motherboard and see if that fixes the problem – which it did!
Warning: please check with your supplier / technical support first. Do it only on their advice. Confirm that it doesn’t void your warranty.

Refer to Quick Reference Guide from the above link which helps you to locate the required jumper (JBT1) and other components. And make sure you read all the sections on CMOS in the manual
Here are the overall steps:
Following the manual instructions, I removed the power source, RAM and battery from the motherboard
Locate the jumper JBT1. It will be closer to RAM and one of the screws of CPU
Place a screw driver in between the JUMPER to short the connection. Hold on to it for a few seconds.
Here is the video I recorded:
Luckily, my motherboard came back to life !
Hope this might be handy/useful, though I wouldn’t wish anyone running into this situation.
Good luck.
