2. During the operation of the equipment, a large amount of corrosive dust and smoke will be generated during the processing of the workpiece. These smoke and dust will temporarily accumulate in large quantities on the surface of the guide rails and linear axes, which will have a great impact on the processing accuracy of the engraving machine equipment. And corrosion spots will be formed on the surface of the linear axis of the guide rail, shortening the service life of the equipment. In order to make the machine work normally and stably and ensure the processing quality of the product, daily maintenance of the guide rails and linear axes must be done carefully. Note: Please prepare dry cotton cloth and lubricating oil for cleaning the guide rail.

When it is found that the guide rails of the engraving machine have become rusty, it must be judged based on the actual situation. If the corrosion of the guide rail is not serious, it will not have a big impact on the machine tool. The first way to deal with it is to find the cause of the rust.

Generally speaking, rust is mainly caused by problems with the supply of lubricating oil. In this case, we need to check whether the oil circuit is smooth and whether the oil pipe is broken.

Another reason may be that the protective performance of the protective cover is insufficient, causing the cutting fluid to drip directly onto the guide rail surface. After solving these problems, we pour more lubricating oil on the guide rail surface, then turn on the machine tool and let it run dry for about 2 hours.

Remember not to use rough materials such as gauze to rub the surface of the guide rail, otherwise the guide rail will be directly scrapped. If the corrosion of the guide rails is very serious, what you need to do at this time is to ask the engineers of the CNC engraving machine manufacturer to deal with it.
