How to clean Drain channels

OBJECTIVE: At the end of this session, Associates will be able to learn how to complete the task as per the standard

STANDARD: SOP

INSTRUCTIONS

1.    

PPE Requirement

●       Plastic Apron

●        Rubber Hand Gloves

●        Safety Shoes

2. 

Materials Required

●      All purpose cleaner

●        Scrubbing Pad

●        Sanitizer ( Quat Based )

3· Procedure

Step 1

●        Wear all required PPE (Safety Shoes, Gloves, Apron etc.)

●        Remove drain cover

Step 2

●        Scrub down gulley channels with All Purpose Cleaner  solution with hot water

●        Rinse and sanitize with Quat based solution

●        Scrub covers on both sides with All Purpose Cleaner  

●        Rinse and sanitize with Quat based solution

Step 3

●         Scrub covers on both sides with All Purpose Cleaner  

●        Rinse and sanitize with Quat based solution

●        Replace drain covers

MONITORING

●        Monitor Cleaning and Sanitization checklist

Control Point

●        Ensure drain channels and gullies are not blocked with grease

Safety

●        Rinse and dry hands after use.
