London’s Direct Vision Standard grace period extended
The DVS grace period has been extended from three to six months.
Despite this extension, you must have one of the following options in place before the ???? ?????????????? deadline for all HGVs entering Greater London:
? 3*, 4*, or 5* safety rating from the factory and a confirmed permit.
? Progressive Safe System (PSS) kit fitted, photos taken, and a confirmed permit.
? A DVS PSS appointment booked for fitment after the October deadline, a confirmation on letter-headed paper from the supplier, and a grace period applied for and successfully granted by TfL.
If you don’t comply, you’ll receive a fine for entering the DVS zone.

Government funding to help prepare for the EU’s Entry/Exit System
The Government has announced ￡10.5m funding to help Dover, Eurostar and Eurotunnel prepare for the EU’s Entry/Exit System.
The new system comes into force on 10 November and will record the movement of non-EU visitors to the Schengen Area through fingerprints or facial recognition.
