Did you know that once you activate your confidence and stand full in your power, you can finally get the clarity you need to start your business? That’s right - you don’t need a fancy website or the best templates or professional photos to launch your biz. You need confidence and clarity, because both of these will lead you to getting that cashflow!
I’ve talked about confidence several times, so feel free to check out my latest post on boosting your confidence here. But I haven’t discussed clarity much and why it can make or break your business - not to mention your mindset! Mindset is everything when you’re an entrepreneur; if you’re not feeding your mind the right stuff for success, then how can you ever reach success??
Let’s first discuss what clarity is. Clarity is becoming clear about your target market - your Perfect Fit Client. You must learn how to talk to your perfect client by finding out everything about them: what do they want, what problems are they facing, what do they desire, what transformation do they need, and why do they want to work with you. But clarity isn’t just about your client - it’s about you. The more you are your authentic, confident self, the more you’ll attract your Perfect Fit Client and repel those who don’t align with you.
Clarity should be more about who you serve - you should also focus on why you serve. The value comes in with your why. When I started Accountability On Demand, I wasn’t doing it for the money. I just wanted to do something I was good at and loved doing. My why is I want to help people to not shrink and fall victim to imposter syndrome and similar mindset blocks. When I started serving and going deeper into my why, my Perfect Fit Client started to appear organically. I don’t have to force my way into my target market’s sight; with newfound clarity, they can find their way to me because I’ve been marketing myself as a solution to their pain points.
Let’s set up an example: if I’m working with at-risk youth coming out of the foster care system, they probably need assistance in the areas of support, resources, mental health, job placement, and housing. We know where they’re starting out at (newly released from foster care), and we know where they want to be (living a good quality life), but the gap in the middle is where we’re a bit unsure about, aka the transformation. So, first I’ll assess, create a plan, implement the plan, check in with the results, and provide further support with wraparound services. This strategy may work a little, but it won’t be able to provide laser-focused results until I do the target market research, expand my knowledge, and chat with those who went through my program. I’ll continuously try, test, and tweak my program until every aspect aligns and brings in transformative results. You know why? Because entrepreneurship is a big hypothesis!
Being an entrepreneur is not easy - you will not get everything right the first go around. Failures, mistakes, and disappointments will be a part of your journey. But don’t think of all that as bad things! Failure can help us reach clarity just as much as success can. Clarity doesn’t just appear; you need to do the work, assess the work, and keep modifying the work. You just have to stay resilient and believe in the vision you have for your business. Trust me: all the pieces will align eventually!
