Many people have doubts about how to choose valves in different media. Here are a few situations for you:
1. If the pipeline medium is ozone, we recommend using PTFE valve seat, because the oxidation of ozone is very high, conventional EPDM and NBR are not good, and PTFE has good ozone resistance.
2.120 degrees of compressed air, it is recommended to use FKM or HEPDM valve seat
3. The pipeline medium is 70-degree hydrochloric acid with a concentration of 20%-30%. Such a medium has very high corrosion performance,
It is not acceptable to use SS304, SS316, 1.4469, 2507, 2205 for the valve disc.
At this time, the valve plate needs to be covered with PTFE, so the valve body does not need to be considered so much, and ductile iron is enough. As long as the valve plate is covered well, it will be fine. In this way, the cost will be much lower.
4.9-10 alkaline solution; 9-10 is quite strong, so the valve seat is made of PTFE.
5. If the medium is salt water, and it is aquaculture, the economical configuration:
DI body, plate DI+NYLON, shaft: SS420, seat: EPDM
(This configuration is the most economical, and the use time is relatively long)
6. If the medium is: ethylene glycol solution:
This kind of solution is quite special, it is best to use FKM or PTFE, but remember not to use NBR or EPDM in this medium; because these two materials are easily corroded by ethylene glycol. Ethylene glycol, propylene alcohol. . . . Alcohol rubber is not good, because there is an additive in the rubber, which is easy to fuse with alcohol;
So the best choice is to use FKM or PTFE, but because the current price of FKM is relatively high, you can choose PTFE valve seat
2. Medium: 30% Gypsum Slurry (gypsum slurry)

3. Medium: 30% limestone Slurry (lime magma)

11. The medium is: the mixed gas of hydrogen, methane, carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide.

The following configurations are possible:
Ductile iron body/CF8M disc/FKM seat/SS431 worm gear shaft/SS304 chain
Ductile iron body/2507 plate/PTFE seat/SS431 worm gear shaft/SS304 chain
