On Tuesday evening, we gathered to honor Teckie Shackelford’s visionary leadership and 36 years of dedicated service on the I Know I Can board. Since co-founding IKIC in 1988, Teckie’s commitment to our mission has empowered countless students to dream big and achieve their goals. We are so grateful for her tireless efforts, which have left an inspiring legacy that will impact generations to come. MILESTONE AGREEMENT ?? Ohio Wesleyan University is now the largest scholarship partner for I Know I Can, a Columbus-based college-access organization! Through this partnership, OWU will provide up to 25 Central Ohio high school students with full-tuition scholarships each year, helping turn their college dreams into reality. "Ohio Wesleyan University is laser-focused on reducing and eliminating economic and other barriers to an elite liberal arts education,” President Matt vandenBerg, EdD said. “I Know I Can provides young people from Central Ohio with support, encouragement, and resources, and OWU is immensely proud to partner with them to propel students toward their dreams.” Learn more about becoming a Bishop and the opportunities available: www.owu.edu/admission

We’re thrilled to announce a new scholarship opportunity for IKIC students from ALL of our districts (Columbus, Reynoldsburg, South-Western, Whitehall City Schools) in partnership with Ohio Wesleyan University. The Dr. Charles Thomas Scholars program will provide up to 25 IKIC high school seniors annually with total financial aid of at least full tuition for four years while they pursue their OWU bachelor’s degrees. This initiative celebrates the hard work and determination of our students, ensuring they have the resources and support they need to succeed.
