How to choose high alumina ball

High alumina balls are widely used in ceramic industry. Almost all of them can be seen from billets to glaze abrasives.

When choosing high alumina ball as grinding ball stone, we must pay attention to the quality of high alumina ball. Aluminum balls produced by different manufacturers often vary greatly. Generally speaking, the quality of high aluminium ball formed by isostatic pressing is better than that by rolling, and the high aluminium ball made by slow firing in tunnel kiln is better than that of roller kiln.

When we choose high alumina ball products as spheroids, it is better to do wear-resistant experiments, or to smash the ball and observe the sintering inside the ball. Because in the process of ball milling, the ball stone will definitely lose. If the sintering inside and outside is the same, the gradation of ball mill can be effectively improved. However, if the sintering inside and outside is inconsistent (generally hard inside and soft inside), the number of pebbles will be relatively reduced, which is not conducive to the improvement of ball milling quality.

When choosing grinding balls, the properties of actual grinding materials must also be taken into account. Generally speaking, in the process of ball milling, if there are many barren materials in the raw material, and the strength is high and the hardness is high, we should try our best to use the impact crushing method, which requires that the higher the density, hardness and strength of the high aluminium ball we adopt, the better. On the contrary, the grinding process should be strengthened as far as possible.
