This, sadly, is the latest trend among aspiring authors and first-timers - ?chasing endorsements from either influencers or top-notch officials.

In the rush to grab attention, some authors fling their manuscripts at anyone with a big following, even if they're as relevant to the subject matter as a penguin in a desert. Sure, it's tempting to join the parade, but sincerity beats sensationalism in the long run. And let's not forget the risk of sharing your manuscript with strangers. ?

It’s great to have a celebrity or top-notch personality write a blurb or intro for your book – ONLY if they are related to the topic/genre of your book or if they know you personally and can vouch for you.

Here’s how to navigate the writer's circus by staying true to yourself and your book…. Please do seek endorsements from celebrities and the who's who...but let them be one of the below...

1.???? Industry Leaders: Leaders addressed by the book can validate its relevance and importance within the field.

2.???? Prominent Figures: Public figures with a connection to the book's topic can draw attention and broaden its reach to diverse audiences.

3.???? Target Audience Representatives: Individuals who represent the book's target audience can attest to its relevance and appeal, attracting similar readers to explore its contents.

4.???? Collaborators: Co-authors or contributors to the book can offer unique insights into its creation and purpose, enriching readers' understanding.

5.???? Renowned Authors: Well-known authors can lend their reputation to the book, attracting readers who trust their judgment.

6.???? Influential Reviewers: Reviewers with a significant following can generate buzz and anticipation for the book, boosting its visibility and sales potential.
