Recently, Google launched its own chatbot counterpart ChatGPT within the search engine. The presentation did not go as well as the company had planned. Viewers found a bug, the company was hit by negative investor sentiment and its capitalisation plummeted.

What is ChatGPT?

ChatGPT is a chatbot by OpenAI, created by Elon Musk and Sam Altman. The bot uses machine learning to generate responses to text prompts like a human, can understand a query by a few words, and produces a ready answer immediately. Search engines work similarly, but ChatGPT immediately answers its knowledge base, without offering different sites where users have to search for information on their own.
