How Character Maximizes Your Skills and Success

The wealthiest people are the most humble and curious about how to improve. Beginner’s mind is great for learning solutions and big problems to solve. When making innovative solutions for great problems, raise your team. Giving credit to the entire team will motivate everyone to do great.

However, do not trust people quickly and stick with them for too long. Always check if your team is the right person for the job, and let go early. Hire skills if you do not want to pay for people’s education on the job. Then, what’s most needed in forming a team is everyone has a good resume.

But also, do not just hire skills since the character is also needed. The character will allow you to more easily get the most out of the team you hire. Using your team’s character, let them focus on one significant skill at a time. Without character, chances are there’s not enough drive to maximize skills.

Then, to build confidence in achieving a great goal start with small goals. You don’t need to achieve great goals now but build on small wins for now. Goals can be extrinsically focused on competition but it’s not healthy. Competitiveness can get you to your goals but it may be self-destructive. So don’t chase after the win over others that will not matter in the end. Study competition so you can learn from them but don’t focus on ego.

Focus on your race and how you can be the best you to be fulfilled. Don’t focus on winning a competition because someone is always better. Comparing yourself to others will drain us to no end, competing with everyone. Then, competing with other people is not at all sustainable despite working.

It’s important to master skills, so you can improvise for different challenges. Given the different challenges, learn different variations of solutions. But once you have learned all the variations, simplify your solution. You can only have a simplified solution when you understand all its variations. In the end, it’s not about doing different things but doing it right. Different attributes make variations of a solution to figure out the ideal.
