We all ask ourselves how we could reach our goals, overachieve its, but finally we don’t go enough fast, or deep into our goal plans and execution.

But some people are overachievers and needs to be taken as example, so if I am talking about?:

All those people are applying some or all of the principles this book is talking about.

What this book, The Miracle Morning by Al Elrod, offers you is not the solution for you to fulfill your dreams or goals, but just a method to apply, if you want it, that will make your day more efficient, and maybe change your life, to overachieve your goals, and maybe be one day equal or better to the example previously discussed.

Let's talk now about the author, Hal Elrod.

He is an American who was a successful Sales, multiple years in a row, but never fulfilled his goals and desire of inspiring and educating people.

And one day, while his life was extremely good compared to the average American, he had a car crash, hit by a truck, and his life changed. After weeks in the hospital, months of reeducation just to learn again how to stand up, then walk, and later run, he decided to start with a new process to change his life and impact others.

After being challenged by one of his friend for running a marathon, he woke up at 5am in a morning and went for a run that changed his life forever.

Since this moment, he understood it was possible to overachieve your goals, by starting to apply yourself a morning routine, to make the beginning of your day impacting before the majority of people even get awake.

So after practicing and improving his morning routine he arrived to the conclusion of the following perfect organization for him:

Which is an acronym for :

  • Silence
  • Affirmations
  • Visualization
  • Exercise
  • Reading
  • Scribing

Precisely, for him it allows him to spend an hour of his morning doing what brings him in a positive mindset, and be sure he will all the time have a complete and successful day.

Obviously after hearing that, you might think for some of you,

  • I am already doing a part of it, waking up early, doing my sport, reading and I am already successful. True, I am not telling you to change, I am just thinking you can even improve your daily routine, and overachieve more!!!
  • Or some might think, and I know what I am talking about… Meditation, Affirmations, Visualization? Come on, it is for pussies… If meditation was working, Gandhi would be the king of the world…. Almost true… just kidding.

You remember the examples I talked about at the beginning?

Oprah: Meditation every morning

Muhammad Ali : he was telling himself everyday he was the Greatest??? He embraced his affirmation and became the Greatest!!!

Visualization: Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Bill Gates, Will Smith are/were practicing every day

Exercise: Dwayne Johnson wakes up every day at 4am and does 2hours of work out

One of the great story inside the book for visualization is the one with Jim Carrey. Before knowing him for his best role in… The MASK obviously… Jim Carrey was one of the many dreamer of a Hollywood career. And back in the 80s he wrote himself a letter with his personal BHAG, Big Hairy Audacious Goals, with one saying : "I will receive a check for one of my movies for Christmas 1995 of 10Millions dollars."

Remember he was almost unknown and not earning anything at this time. But he was goal oriented, had visualized and affirmed what he wanted, and worked so hard for it, that in the year 1994, one year before, he received a 10Mdollar check for,….. Dumb and Dumber!!!!.

Yes visualization is one of the most powerful tool ever. You can find that in many other books, like the 7th habit of highly effective people, where John r Covey, recommends to always start with the end. Or Think and Grow Rich, from Napoleon Hill, which is a basic and based of this book and many other like Rich Dad Poor Dad. Visualization is key for you to plan and overachieve your Big Hairy Audacious Goals.

If you want a timing, you will see a recommended one:

Waking up at 5am : no snoozing, waking up, drinking a glass of water and brushing the tooth, (yes I know it sounds like we are in his intimacy in the bathroom, but truly it helps to wake up, I have tried it myself), a smoothie with many fruits and super food.

  • Silence : 5 minutes
  • Affirmation : 5minutes
  • Visualization : 5minutes
  • Exercise : 20 minutes
  • Reading : 20 minutes
  • Scribing : 20 minutes

But what is not miracle, but extremely interesting for everyone… you can adapt it to your morning routine, and optimize it after practicing.


So I am not telling you I am the living example of the Miracle Morning, because we all have to improve every day. But it is now more than 3years I am practicing it for my morning, and I can tell you it has changed my Life, and supported during great but especially difficult times. Now every day when I do it, I am happy, confident, and ultra-motivated to achieve all my actions during my day.

For the record, last week, I had forgotten to charge my phone, so no alarm in the morning. What happened? I wake up at only 7.45am on Saturday… and I was so pissed against myself the whole day trying to have back my morning delay, and I never did. So I wake up even earlier the day after, and it brought me an extra motivation to do it the days after, and here I am to present my experience to you, writing those lines during my morning routine!!!!

For the ones who are not convinced, no worries, there are plenty other books that will fit to your needs of extra motivation and personal development, that we will discuss in another articles.

For the others, I am sure I have opened some mind to the benefit of waking up earlier and start the day with a new routine, to make you overachieve your goals, and make your morning a miracle!!! ;)
