The first step in any transformational change has to be a realisation of what we are doing, why we are doing it, when and how we are doing it.
Start bringing what you are doing, feeling, thinking, and saying into your conscious mind and explore how is it helping you.
Working with a coach who is experienced in this area and/or,?Investing in a relevant 360° feedback survey focussed on your emotional Intelligence-related behaviours and leadership styles will give you the truth and the information you need.
#2 OWN IT
Stop blaming others, the environment, the world….
How you choose to behave and the impact this has on others is your responsibility.
If you feel you’ve made mistakes….making more and sticking your head in the sand is not going to help anyone.
The second we start taking accountability for this the quicker we can start to become more effective.
But, be warned?it's hard sometimes for us to do that because our brain is 'protecting us' from the truth ??

This involves a powerful choice to stop what you are doing and start doing something more effective and rewarding instead.
You can choose to switch up the way you think, feel or behave and the other two will follow suit.
Your brain can’t believe two narratives…. so choose wisely what you are feeding it because it will take you there.
#4 PRACTISE IT
Brain rewiring does not happen overnight.
Changing your internal narrative speeds up the brain rewiring process and leads us to new healthier and more rewarding habitual behaviour.
Practising makes perfect but planning to practice is the real key.
Putting yourself in the situation to try out your new way of thinking, feeling or ‘behaving’….. and then being able to coach yourself around your experiences is pure gold.
It’s also really important to reward your success and ‘learning opportunities’ at this stage. This makes a significant note to your brain that change is good and worth it.
#5 SHARE IT
No point in having this new superpower and keeping it to yourself.
It’s time to reap the rewards of all your hard work….sharing is caring ??
But this is not about showing off….
This is about communicating information that others need and want to know, in a way that they can ‘hear ‘ it…
Communicating with the right intent and in the right style and watch how much your perceived value improves and the impact this has on your success ??
It all starts with you ????
