How to Change Your Habits - The Science

Do you have any habits you'd like to change? Ones that you know do not work in your favor?

Have you ever methodically tracked and analyzed your habitual behaviors, activities and/or attitude? I'll bet you're like most people and it's never even occured to you. If you keep a journal of these three things every 20 minutes for 3 days you will probably be surprised at some habits you aren't even consciously aware of that don't serve your highest potential and goals.

It's easy, and important, to change our habits. And not just glaringly bad habits, such as emotional over-reaction or over-eating. If you want to be and achieve your greatest desires and potential, it's crucial to also change those hidden, self-limiting habits, we all have. Habits such as a neutral mindset (as opposed to a highly motivated, focused and positive mindset). Or spending time on activities or responsibilities that, while productive, are not in our highest and best interest, thus denying us of our potential.

I've posted before on what research shows is the best way for us to create a new habit. This video however discusses the neuro-science behind changing a bad habit into a positive habit -- or, at least, into a neutral habit.
