How to Change the World on Spring Break

When I was in my early 20s, I learned a really cool lesson about changing the world.

My family took a golf/heritage trip to Ireland for about a week and it was incredible.

We immersed in the culture, traced my Mom’s roots to Kilkeel in Northern Ireland and played a bunch of golf.

For someone who spent their life to date in the United States, it was transformative to say the least.

Our flight home landed early afternoon Chicago time and I was excited to meet back up with my friends for a Saturday night of fun in the city.

It felt like the whole world had changed based on my experience in Ireland.

But it was just as I left it:

  • Same banter with friends
  • Same vibe of the city
  • Same dreams for my peers

It took me a couple days of reflection to realize it was ME that changed inside the world itself.

  • Moving forward MY banter changed…
  • The vibes I experienced changed…
  • And MY dreams changed…

By being proactive, changing your daily habitual activities, finding new places to visit, consuming different types of art, exploring new career opportunities, you evolve.

This evolution is what unlocks new levels of fulfillment in your life.

It will literally change the world around you.

Even if you don’t have kids as an excuse to go on Spring Break, find a day or two in the coming weeks and go on an adventure.

Be present, observe, reflect, and soak it in.

When you give yourself a chance to evolve, the whole world changes around you.

It's amazing...
