How to celebrate virtually?
What?
Hoping you had a good start into another year where virtual collaboration will grow rapidly. This year we will see existing tools evolve, we will see new tools emerge. We will see how facilitators, teachers and trainers embrace virtual channels even more and actively work with them - for better outcomes for the groups and teams they are working with.
My prediction: After a phase of just coping with rapid changes we will move to a phase where we use technology playfully to create better, more human experiences.
So what?
A hidden feature that was always available since the early stages of thing is Confetti rain. We decided to make it publicly available (adding a button for it) recently because we feel that we should celebrate more in virtual workshops and meetings.
What about other collaboration tools? There is a confetti feature in Mural - for some people this is the only! reason to favor Mural over Miro. As long as Miro doesn’t provide a built-in confetti feature there are other means to get confetti into Miro (as long as you share the screen with the group): This Chrome extension provides confetti over every web app. And yes, there is also a respective extension for Microsoft Edge.
Enough confetti. We hope you and the teams you work with have enough reasons in the coming year to celebrate achievements, insights or whatever you feel is worth celebrating.
Now what?
We would love to get into contact with you to learn about how you’re currently making your virtual workshops more human and what you would need to bring it to the next level. ??Contact us if you are interested.
